Mmmmmm..Sanders Hot Fudge...

I hear ya, but this time of year I miss it so much I actually enjoy it. Ask me in February when we're driving all over five counties for the LCAHL playoffs! We played Wyandotte in our playoffs this year. What level? Hockey kid was a Bantam. He's a midget now and we're debating travel again.

If your ever in the area let me know we will come up for a game.. I'll have to let ya know if we are in your area. I know my oldest is in Little Caesars but not sure if the little one went little caesars or is doing adrays again. :confused3

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I am too. I need to go back through this thread to see how long I have been talking to you or someone else I thought..I am so stupid, I wonder how I manage to get through a day sometimes.

Those concert series I was talking about were back in the late 70's. After we moved, we were back on a visit and a friend had free tickets to a concert probably around 1990..we saw MC Hammer...not really our cup o tea, but it was free and loud....very, very loud.

I REALLY miss CoBo Hall. Saw Cat Stevens there, Jethro Tull...and of course Bob Segar. What's he been up to, is he still playing anywhere? How about Gonzo? I know they still live in Michigan, and Gonzo has a restaurant and some kind of food product line?

:rotfl2: I'm sorry DQ but most of that is before my time.. Although MC Hammer was during my time. I even met him once..

Ted was supposed to be on Glenn Beck tonight. I ended up making dinner during it and missed the entire show. You see Seger at sports games all the time.

My son is in awe because I saw Black Sabbath at Cobo. Of course, he thinks I'm a geek, too, because my one concert there doesn't compare to DH's many many concerts.

I'm not sure which rink we're going to play out of this year. We can't even figure out house, A, or BB...We're talking to two different coaches who arre both putting together teams. We'll either be at Ice Mountain or Iceland. Either way tell me when you're up here. I have to drive for either and we'll probably be there anyways!

Edited to add> By regular season I should have my pming priviledges back!

last concert I saw at Pine Knob was the B-52's. Filled with people our age looking around all saying, "Wow, this place hasn't changed!"

OK, there's another one. I miss Little Caesars. We even had them in SC, but not here in GA.:guilty:

Yeah, yeah, yeah...just rub it in about how ancient I am...I know. How nice for you to meet him. Was he wearing his baggy britches at the time?

OK, now it's really bad...they are still not in bed, and the youngest (DS8) is bragging about how he has been watching Family Guy on my TV, and it has cussing in it. I seriously have to go now....

Tomorrow, Tomorrow...what is the name of that theater where I saw Annie in /near Detroit???

I also miss Eastern Market, do you guys ever go there?

Good night!!

The Fox!

Comerica park is right across the street, as is Ford Field. Woodward is really coming along!

Now that I have the Sanders website, I'm ordering some Bittersweet Fudge Sauce. I can't believe it is as cheap as it is.. can't wait fo savor that taste once again.. Thanks for this thread and for the website... there goes the diet ! ( ha, haven't been on one of those in years.)

Thanks to you guys I had to go out and buy Rock N Rye.. Oh and yes its very good :cloud9:

Too funny! I did the same thing when we stopped for gas today! It was even cheaper than my diet coke!

We had to go all over the place to get DS's birth certificate, then back past our house again to go to the Secretary of State... then he drove home. I now have a headache!

If you're camping in the Fenton/Holly area this three day weekend watch out for the 15 year old driving his mom's suv with mom in the front trying to remain calm while popping excedrins. The calm part isn't working!

I can't even imagine having to do the same thing in the city. I've already done this once, five years ago, and I'm still having flash backs!

My mom took me to the cemetary she figured I couldn't kill anyone there :rolleyes1

My dad took me to 12 oaks mall after hours. This was back in the early eighties, though! Now that would be a no go! I shudder driving through that area!

OK, I admit it. I've spent too many years in the sticks and I am a traffic wimp. I even had to call DH on Southfield Fwy two weekends ago and ask him which exit for the Hyatt. I used to know this stuff!

Bagley's Corner was the original name of Bloomfield Hills.
The home offices of Life Savers Candy, Beech-Nut Gum, and Squirt drinks are in Holland, Michigan.

In Sept. 1908, William C Durant organized several independent
automobile plants into what was to become General Motors.

The intersection of Woodward Avenue and Grand Avenue in Detroit
proudly displayed the world's FIRST traffic light in 1915.

You remember the Good Humor man in a white uniform, ringing the
bells as he drove down your street. :teeth:

In defense of Art, he did save the JL Hudson parade. Well, his kid's did anyway. ;)

I took driver's ed in February! And I had to drive across the Grosse Isle bridge in a snowstorm!

Empty mall parking lots are great for doing donuts!

I was just telling my boys about the Good Humor man the other day...Remeber having to yell, "STOP", then run inside to ask for money..then run back out hoping he was still there? What a panic that always was!
