I show James.
He can fill you in.

Now that that's settled...where are the presents Jeff promised us? And food porn? I want more food porn!

Okay, the thought of security asking you boys to come OUT OF THE BUSHES just cracks me up?? All I could see in my mind, was the funny scene from "Something about Mary"...at the rest stop!!! Too funny!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I told Jon that our new hobby was going to get us in trouble! Anyway, we love the whole Letterboxing craze!...Its just like a huge scavenger hunt! There's "boxes" hidden all over the globe, WDW has like 18, and we only found 2 on this trip...

Anyway, the whole incident at DTD was funny, the sercurity folks were nice and Im glad that Jon and I didn't have our pants down! LOL!

(if anyone is interested in Letterboxing, hit me up with a private...;) )

must....resist...the...joke...must...resist...

And here I was worried about Wally making the jokes.... ;) BTW, thanks for adding me on Facebook....

More photos like this -
and more use of the word rods.

Okay Wally, be good and I will try! Thanks for making me crack up all the time!

I have to agree with Wally...
<wait, did I just say that> :scared:

Hey Gypsybear, I don't think we have ever met......glad that you joined in....

How late was the hot tub open and was it crowded? We hope to be able to use it after the parks everyday!

The pool and hottub closed at midnight, but there were folks out in the pool like at 2am, Im not sure if they got caught......

Not even going to reference the "rods"...oops...too late.

Loved the red swimming trunks Jeff! Very becoming.

And as for September...Oh! You must extend your trip.....MUST! Hear me????

Thank you Rosie....I usually wear speedos, but I refrained this time around....

Im talking to Jon about maybe doing a 2 nighter before our Boardwalk stay in September. I hope we can and we can get EQ to join us :goodvibes

Run, Jeff!
Run and don't look back!

Rob, you are so mean!!! LOL! We just love to pick on Rosie! She is just like the lil sister I never had! LOL!

Yes very fetching! :thumbsup2
They look like they'd be easy to get out of too.
(Just one good tug with my teeth...)

Oh why thank you wally.....when do we get to see your swimsuit pics...?

Quite like Wally's red pants

Oh lord, you have red pants? Are you a part time Santa???

All kidding aside, Jeff, I'm lovin' the TR....glad to see more pics of WL, since that's where I want to take the hubby next time around...

Thank you Gypsybear! Love the WL, there just something "bearish" about it....;)

Now that that's settled...where are the presents Jeff promised us? And food porn? I want more food porn!

How about some more food porn? Your gifts are gonna have to wait til the end! I have to wrap them first...LOL!

As long as you are behaving I don't think they really enforce the "pool is closed" rule. God knows I've been in a Disney hot tub or two at 3 am!

Did you ever get into the Territory Lounge? (Disney's version of a bear bar)

Well, that knocks me out...LOL!

No, never went there, but I did kind of glanced in.....too cute and I could down a few in there...Drinks that is......LOL!

Gotta love a bartender with fringe on, and two big ole bears carved out of wood standing on the bar! :lmao:

I would have sworn the AKL pool used to close at midnight, but last year it had changed to 24 hours. As long as they aren't doing maintenance and you aren't screaming and causing a disturbance I don't think they enforce the posted hours.

Thats good to know....the pool is always such a good place to go and relax after a crazy day in the parks.....even if its in the early morning hours....

I think you need to ask for a transfer to WL.....;)

Great TR so far. I'm even enjoying the hijacked commentary.

New Day! July 8! This was a interesting day! We both woke up really early, it was like 630am. The clock radio was our wake up call. Static Radio music.... But we were up and ready to go. We got ready and headed to Roaring Fork for breakfast. This is the WL's only CS dining place. It was nice, but their selections were not as good as the Artist's Palet at SSR. (SSR has biscuits and gravy! mmmmmmm) Anyway, it was a beautiful morning and we decided to eat our breakfast poolside.

So we order our breakfast. Jon and I get the samething and we use 2 of our counter service credits. And this is what we got......

IMG_2677.jpg

The Bounty Breakfast Platter....aka, carb fest 2009..and bountiful it was! It came with eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes and a big ol biscuit! It also came with juice and another beverage of choice. Jon, of course got coffee and I got a diet coke. It was very heavy meal and we could have shared one plate. It was good, but just okay good. Nothing to write home about. I can tell you that this hearty breakfast keep us going through our busy day. What I really enjoyed was sitting outside while the pool area was quite. I felt like Miss Ellie on Dallas! :lmao: (Okay, if you have been reading all of my reports, I have this thing for 80's Primetime Soap Operas, don't ask me why, I just do! ;))

And here is Jock waiting for J.R. and Bobby. Sue Ellen was still upstairs after having another rough night at South Fork....:lmao:

So, Jon and I were talking and we were just enjoying ourselves poolside and we just decided to take everything slow and just enjoy everything without rushing. This is when I began to think about all the planning I have done before. I think in the future, we are just going to plan ADRs ahead of time, like we always do and not plan park days more in depth.

Anyway, we were just enjoying a nice Florida Morning together in a nice setting. Here are some pics of the peaceful morning....

The ducks enjoyed there pool time without all the screaming kids.....

IMG_2682.jpg

We made a new freind. I resisted from feeding him some of my biscuit....he was staring at it bad!

IMG_2683.jpg

Still amazes me. I couldn't help but think about all those buidings me and my brother made out of lincoln logs.....

IMG_2686.jpg

Good Morning, Sunshine :worship:......not for long though....

IMG_2685.jpg

The Wildlife was nice to see! After all, we were at the Wilderness Lodge....

So, we head over to the Bustop. We waited about 10 minutes. The bus arrived and we had to wait for a family with a scooter to hop on too. Then the bus headed over to the GF. We had to wait again for another family with a scooter. Folks, if you are schedule and using the Disney Bus System, allow ample time. This ride to AK took about 30 minutes from start to finish.

We arrived at Animal Kingdom and it was getting hot.

Rope drop had occured an hour earlier. It was okay that we missed it. But the crowds were heading in. Lots and lots of groups with similar tee shirts on carry pennet flags.....:scared1:

As we went through the ticket gates, everyone was heading left once crossing the bridge. We headed right.....looking for the forbidden mountain....

It was around 9:15am and the Fast Passes for EE was at a return time of 10am-11am. The Stand By line was at a 30 minute wait. We decided to grab Fast Passes for EE and wait in the Stand By line also. The line was actually like a 20 minute wait.

DSCN1931.jpg

So we hopped on. We were in row number 3 which was a perfect seat on the train.
DSCN1924.jpg

We love EE! Such a fun ride, smooth and thrillin'.

DSCN1925.jpg

Up we go!

DSCN1928.jpg

Oh no! Dead end! Love it when we go backwards.....yes, that is KoJack in front of us. ;) (I had thought about shaving my head....I think its so handsome on some men, but Jon said NO!)

Here's HoneyLamb looking ready to see the Yeti....

We really enjoyed our morning on EE, very nice! And we were excited that we could ride again. The Stand By line had jumped to 40 minutes after we left EE.

So, with EE Fast Passes in hand, we decided to take a potty break and split a bottled water. I was starting to feel a little queezy, I was okay to walk around, but I didn't say anyting to Jon. I just keep saying it was hot....:confused3 Jon kept saying if was okay....I was, but I didn't want him to start worrying about me.

We hopped on Kali River Rapids. We didn't ride this back in January, so it was exciting to see another AK attraction we had not experienced yet. The stand by line was 20 minutes. Sorry, no pics. I was afraid that I was going to get our camera wet. Enjoyed the ride, it was a quick ride! We did not get wet, so we were lucky. There was a family that got soaked! It was fun seeing them have some fun with all the surprise splashes....

We headed back to EE to use our Fast Passes. We were on the EE again within minutes.....we sat in the middle this time around and enjoyed it. After we left the 2nd time, I really started to feel sick. But I didn't let Jon know about it. I just felt light headed.....I was thinking it was just the heat...but again, it could have been EE. Not sure....:confused3

Continued on the next post........

So we headed over to Africa. The park started to get a little crazy with the crowds so Jon and I decided to chill on the Safari Ride and head over to the Noon showing of The Festival of Lion King.

We walked over to the Safari Enterance and it was at a 30 minute wait. We asked the CM at the enterance how long it would take on the ride and he said about 2 weeks....Jon and I both laughed and enjoyed everyone being in character.

Here are the pics of our journey....

Does anyone know how Flamingos get their pink color????

DSCN1942.jpg

Here is our driver and guide. I can't remember his name but he was very nice and a great guide. Very imformative.

They wouldn't let me give Jon back to his natural habitat.

The safari was educational and interesting. I became more light headed and I could not figure out what was wrong with me. Jon knew then something was wrong with me. I told him I was fine, I was ready to see the Lion King Show. So we went over to Camp Mickey/Minnie and got in line for the 12pm show. Everyone else was there too. We waited about 15 minutes and the doors opened. It was nice to sit in the AC for awhile. The show started and the cast came out and did their intros. We were labled as the Elephant section....

As soon as the main show started, the cast came out as the lights went dim. Just as Simba was rising...then all of a sudden......the lights came back on and backstage CMs came rushing out. I am assuming the CM that was a part of the show threw his back out and could not move :confused3 Then the annoucement came, "Ladies and Gentlemen, This showing of the Festival of the Lion King has been canceled." I was like :scared1: Jon was pissed. But I just kept saying "I hope the performer is okay!" So, we left the theater......

Jon and I started to walk out of Camp Mickey and I felt like I was going to pass out. All I can remember at this point was seeing a the ice cream cart and a bench with 3 little girls. I said to them, "Excuse me, I have to sit down....and the family was more than greatful and let me sit down. That's all I remember at that point. It was like that part in the movie, Sixteen Candles, when the daughter is being brought down the isle at her wedding and she looks at the people sitting in the pew and says,,,"Move over, I gotta rest!" I was okay.....

The next thing I saw was Jon beside me with a Chocolate Covered Banana Pop and a big bottle of water......I guzzled the water down b/c I had a dry mouth and I wolfed down the banana pop.....I don't know what was wrong with me, either it was my sugar dropping or I was having heat issues.....

Anyway, I was fine and we left AK and headed back to lodge........before gettign back on the bus, we stopped at Guest Relations to see their pin book for pin trades.

What a morning.....;)

Next up, A Nature Trail Adventure and DHS!

Loving the TR...the part about being at South Fork, we WERE there last year( my DSIL lives in Plano where SF is) and it really DID look like South Fork!! :lmao:

Glad you boys had fun... the trip looks amazing!!

Wolfing down a banana pop will pick you right up every time. :thumbsup2
