I searched for an answer to my question but those threads have been closed back in March so no recent info. We were wondering if the wait is long for the MK lounge when one has purchased the MMB. We do not have MMB and when we got on the list (about 11am) on the day we visited, there were about 50 families that had signed up to visit on the waitlist before us. If we had purchased MMB, I assume we would have been let in immediately or very soon. Shortly before the afternoon parade, we decided to return to the area and see if more families would clear the lounge to see the parade and we might get to the top of the list. We were finally alerted that we were at the top of the list around parade time. While we were waiting outside, they told families that asked to get in that the waitlist was full. While we were inside, there were many empty seats at the long tables....we assumed that was because they had to save them for possible MMB families that would visit but no one told us that.
If we buy MMB, it would only be for the option to get into the MK lounge with a reasonable wait since we already have Photopass on our annual pass and we don't need the OTU points or exchanges. I know some think it is silly to pay for the "immediate" lounge access, but we think people are silly for some of the other things they purchase so each of us has our priorities.
I would love to hear actual experiences with wait times WITH and WITHOUT MMB. Please don't argue so this thread gets closed down. Thanks!!

We were at MK on June 12th. We have MMB and were waitlisted and waited less than 10 minutes. At the time we were told there was 1 MMB family ahead of us. I don’t know how long people waited that didn’t have MMB.

Have MMB

June 4-MK at about 2:00. Got on the list, told it would be a moment, turned around then he called our name and we went right in.
June 2-Epcot went for the photo opportunity that afternoon and there were several families in the lounge but didn't wait at all either.

No wait for the Epcot lounge at all on June 12th when I was there. Have not yet been to MK since the lounge opened.

I am not sure they are holding tables for MMB members but waiting to see if the texted family shows up within 20 minutes. It makes sense but if you think one table has a family, they leave and they clean it. The text someone and they take the nearly full 20 minutes to return and they sit for 20 minutes, 40 minutes for one family. They leave, they text the next family…the process continues. I was surprised by all the empties when we recently, but it’s how the process has to work unless I am wrong.

I refuse to buy MMB. I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a table at Epcot. I have never waited at all for a table at springs. I’ve only tried to get in the magic Kingdom lounge once back in May. I got there as the lounge was opening and got right in. No wait. This is for a table for two each time.

If they are really leaving tables empty in case MMB members show up while turning away regular members, that’s really sad.

I visited in late May and early June and went to the both the MK and Epcot lounge. The wait was 0min. I'm an international member with MMB so I guess thats why.

Before MMB was a thing i've experienced the waittime to be longer like, 15 minutes but also up to 1 hour. Had to ask my wife she remembers that better than me :-)

We are MMB and here now. Last week there was no wait at Epcot’s lounge. This past Sunday we went to MK and there was 1 MMB family before us. We had enough time to use our lightening lane for HM and then slowly walk back toward the lounge. We got the ready text just as we walked into the pin store next to the lounge.

When we first went in there were a bunch of empty tables but that slowly filled in. I do not think they are holding tables for MMB. Instead I think it has empty moments when they are waiting for guests who have received the texts to return or to respond they no longer want the table.

It was so busy on Sunday one guy even snuck in that wasn’t DVC but the CM’s handled that quickly. We were seated near the “fireplace” and noticed a guy sitting on the fireplace eating and drinking. The lounge was crowded and there were kids playing around the area so we assumed he was with them and watching them. Nope a few minutes into him sitting there a CM walked up and asked if he was a DVC member. He said no and the CM politely told him the lounge was only for DVC members. He apologized and walked out with the CM. The only reason I think he knew and snuck in was because we were a party of 5 and were assigned the four center chairs by the fireplace and 1 table and chairs for two. We opted to move a single chair to the set of four thus leaving a single chair at the table next to us. Nobody sat there and he could have used that seat without anyone noticing but instead he sat on the corner of the fireplace where the CM’s view of him was blocked by my family.

I thought MMB was only available to US-based members?

I see lots of folks trying to walk up the stairs to the Epcot lounge, not knowing what’s up there.

Wonder how he got by the cast members to get in.
