Beverly: That's so cute! Good for you that your're keeping up on your fun Zumba! You've got a keeper in that man!

I have a "non-scale success story" to report.
While walking ahead of DH the other day, he reached over to pat my backside. He gave it a rub and said "If that is what Zumba is doing for you keep it up!" So apparently there has been some toning in areas I can't see, but DH is keeping track of it for me.![]()
I don't know what to say to you guys (girls). I got your present a short while ago. I can't stop crying. I don't know whether to hug you or yell a you.![]()

Laura: Have you called the doctor? Do you have a fever? Just asking because you are around so many people, you could have come into contact with H1N1. Don't wait too long to seek medical attention if you aren't better. We love you!!! Get well soon!!!![]()
Lisa - what a sweet story.
Nell - just know we love you and wanted to help.
Nobody should ever have to choose between food and health. Was Marti able to get her Dr. appt. rescheduled? If she is unable to work due to her knees, you should look into getting SSI (Disability) for her. I suggest using an attorney. The SSI people will deny you outright the first time (they always do that), but when an attyorney is involved it seems to get resolved faster.
Carol - sorry you had a slip - but that's all it is, a slip. Regroup, stay away from the baking area and remember that cake won't taste as good as being healthy feels!
Kate - so glad to hear the good news. Hopefully they can determine if it was caused by alcohol, and get her the help she needs for that too.
Lisa - hope you are feeling better when you wake up...my blood sugar is way high this morning...I just do not think that carbs of any kind agree with me...dont want to go back on meds at night, so not sure what to do about it at all.Robin - what are you eating at night before bed? Is it different on days your BS is high in the a.m.?
So sorry to hear about your friend. Dennis will be added to the prayer list.
Robin - I am glad to see that there are others out there who seem to have the same doubts I do. I also answered yes to her questions, but seem to be the slowest loser here. I have still only lost about 18 lbs in 3.5 months, and haven't even really dropped a pants size, just fitting more comfortably in the ones I have (and had outgrown). However, even if I lose 5 lbs. a month, that is so much better than where I was going. I just need to stay positive (hard to do with all the rain here too), and move forward. I do feel better, but still struggle to make by carbs work on Step 2. I end up eating weird things at meals just to get my carbs in. Last night I grabbed Chinese because I had to work a Board meeting, and after eating the shrimp and veggies I realized I still needed an 11-20. So I grabbed sweet potato chips. They were good, but didn't really go with the Chinese.
Sandra, we love you also. Please join in the chats. That's why we are all here. This has become more of a friendship with a WOL on the side, if you know what I mean, and we would love for you to jump in with both feet. We can't chat with you when you are only reading, but I know how tough it can be to feel like I have something worthy to say.
Mal - good to see you! Visit as often as you can and thanks for the recipe.
Barb - glad you got a new security system. When we were robbed last year we decided not to turn it in either. Not worth the hassle and the increase in premiums.
Laura, sorry you are feeling so poorly. It really seems to be getting around. I'll Zumba extra hard tonight in your honor!
Thanks Beverly!!
I feel like a proud Mama with all my little Zumba babies!!![]()
LOL! That is so sweet, Bev. You still got it!
Laura- hope you feel better. I agree with Lisa, don't let it go too long without medical attention.

Checking in quick before my meeting, so dont be offended if I miss responding to someone!!
Laura - glad to see you stop in to see us during your busy FB schedule!!Cant let that H1N1 get ahead of you, so be sure to get checked if this stuff persists!! We have had many cases here at NW, and most felt like total crap for about a week, then slowly felt better...I had such a funny visual of you and all your little Zumba babies dancing around!
Bev, Barb, Carol, Jocelyn - I dont think you are the slowest loser...I think theres quite a group of us who arent seeing major losses...both in pounds and in inches/sizes...but its true that we ARE feeling better, losing slowly and steadily, seeing looser clothing, etc. so I guess that is ALL GOOD...I know I am grateful for what I have lost, just so IMPATIENT to lose more and FASTER!! I keep thinking all this gym work HAS to kick in eventually!!
Carol - I just sent out a rain dance to you...believe me I would be happy to put all this in a box and send it away!
Kate - hows the packing coming?
Bev - not eating anything different at night at all...just not getting up for the 3:30am feeding a couple days...I dont think that would do it, but who knows? I feel like that feeding is just adding extra calories I dont need...I go to the gym and work off 250-350 calories on the treadmill, then come home and get up and eat another couple hundred calories in an 11-20 snack...Diane told me I did not HAVE to have that feeding unless I was awake anyway...so I have just slept through it recently. No wheat week hasnt made any difference either, so the only 11-20 I have had this week so far are 12 grapes, 1/2 sweet potato, 1/2 cup brown rice, my shakeology, 8 whole grain tortilla chips, and my black bean chili...doesnt seem like any of that would cause the rise in sugar...Im fine during the day, and after exercise...it is just that darn waking number!
Kate - hows the packing coming?
We rented a big truck. Brad is driving. We should be there by Thanksgiving! I told Halle about the ponies and she is excited!
Kate, you could always swing by here and pick up Lobster and me. We love road trips and he could keep Halle company. At least it would get me away from this CAKE, it's driving me crazy.
