MM Warriors Part Deux (As of October 27)

Lisa, You can take the stems off the pears and the seeds out and just puree the rest with the skins on. Boil it down til it's not runny and presto! you have pear butter. You can do this with apples, too. Just don't puree it down too far and it will keep more of the fiber intact. I'm sure they both would have fiber but it wouldn't hurt to add some.

I will get them in the mail today.
You really should check out the coupon site. It will tell you where to find coupons online too. ;)

I did Kathy, but I found it really confusing. I did locate online coupons though after you mentioned it.

Does anyone know what this plant (wildflower or weed) is? Couldn't figure out how to put in a photo, so just made it my avatar.

Have a feeling I should know but just can't remember and haven't been able to find it on any of my garden sites. Got a feeling I'm going to feel very foolish when I do hear the name.

It popped up in my flower bed about a month ago, seeds must have been left by a bird.

The flowers are beautiful but looks like it could be rather invasive and some grew about 3 ft tall. DH pulled most of them up before I got a good pic of the larger ones. The one time he decides to pull weeds!

I've looked all over our property and my flower bed is the only place I've found them.

SharonLee, it's too small in your avatar. Can you send it to my email? I'm not sure if I'll know, but I can try. ContentedSoulDW@aol.com

Ok, if you have not tried this it's going to sound disgusting. I swear it is so good that you'd prefer it over sex.

Pepper Jam. Yes, I am telling the truth. There are all kinds of recipes that involve sugar, but I'm sure we could adjust that. I prefer the mildly hot one. The only one I could find on the web that was sugar free was hot. It must be put onto a cracker with a little cream cheese and generous jam. OMG (as pony says!)

It does take a while to get used to it, but if I can do it, anyone can. Just start slowly. Lots of people will help you out. I'll help you too!!

Just start at the top where it says newbies. And if you want to find a coupon, go to the coupon database, type in what your looking for, and it will tell you where to find the coupon. Tearpad, insert, online, in a magazine....

Then go to where it says stores (I think) and just click on it. Find the stores you like to shop at. Giant Eagle, Walmart, Bi-Lo, Kmart, Walgreens....
they list all the current sales, and then match up the coupons that you may have. This is how you keep your out of pocket spending down.

Here's an example.
Febreze Noticeables Autumn Spice are 3.75, and there are 4.00 coupons out there.
Glade candle holder $2.98, use $2/1 coupon from inside select packages = $.98
Glade Sense and Spray $5, use $4/1 insert q= $1
Renuzit Super Odor Spray for Cars $1.50 - $1/1 coupon = $.50 each
*Lysol Neutra Air Freshmatic Refill on rollback $4.50 - $4/1 IP (internet printable) = $.50

Just give it a try ;)

Oh, yes, we love it - all different kinds. Tom has to buy a new jar every time we go to a gourmet shop in little towns. I need to read the labels and see how many carbs the ones we have are. Haven't eaten any in a while.

At first when I read this, I was thinking regular pepper LOL :lmao: So much for that extra hour of sleep helping my brain :rotfl:
I think it may actually be good. I love pepper relish. Mike puts that on crackers and eats it. I can't take real hot stuff, but with mild peppers, may be doable!! Now watch, you'll tell me you do mean regular black pepper LOL.

When our hot water went in Maine, I took the plug in electric kettle, took the lid off and put the shower head into it. Then I tied it on so it stayed there. I plugged the tub, plugged in the kettle and made sure it was tilted to pour. Turn on the water filling the kettle, then turn the water down to a trickle. Slowly hot water will begin filling the tub. It takes like an hour and the water cools in the tub at the same time that the water is trickling in, but eventually the tub warms up and with the boiling water still trickling the water gets it warm enough for a bath. I know I don't have to say to unplug the kettle before you get in the bathtub, right?:scared1:

My gosh, it makes me pass out it's so good! :lmao:

:rotfl: Yes, pepper the plant, not pepper the peppercorns!

The sweet counteracts the hot. Just thought I'd bring that up as a nice treat that does have carbs if it's sugar free!

I found a replacement Chrismoose on eBay but I keep getting outbid! They don't know who they are messing with! I learned from the old ladies that bid on crafts!!!

Nell, don't bid until the last 5 minutes. Don't let them see you are interested.

Nell, just sent the photo's by email. Hope you can solve my mystery.

Thanks,

Sharron I think I got it. I think it's Showy rattlebox. Check the link I sent you with pictures of the flowers before they open. It looks the same.

Tom's informed me he's making dinner. What's up? He didn't crash the car...I better shave my legs!;)

Oh, Lord! Now, he's vacuuming!
