MM Warriors Part Deux (As of October 27)

I was motivated by the talk of home repair to install the new lights I had bought at Lowe's. They replace your can lights with more decorative lights that hang. So I turn off the breaker and start reading the instructions. It tells me not to use if there is a dimmer unless it meets all specs. Like how do I know that? So I have to wait until tomorrow when DH can ask the professional electricians who are working at the club. Darn. They have been here for 2 months, and I was going to do it finally. Hopefully tomorrow. :confused3

It's always the way with home improvement, but I bet your lights are going to be gorgeous!

Ok, this second hand Chrismoose is up to $26 dollars with 20 bucks shipping already and it doesn't end till tomorrow night. I don't think so! It's time for a new theme! :lmao:

We have a stuffed Chrismoose but it doesn't light up. It's about 1 1/2 feet tall and has a red and green scarf. I don't think we could part with it tho, as it is Lobster's backup if no shoes are available. He has actually made it past us at the door with the thing. It is sure a ridiculous site to see him galloping thru the hills dragging this huge stuffed animal. So, Daniele, if you want to borrow it, it's a package deal. A Lobster and a Chrismoose. Who could ask for more!

Is it a stuffed one or a blow up one? They get their money in the shipping sometimes don't they??

Very cute! My dog loves stuffed animals. She loves to take them outside, get them all dirty and then bring them back in. She got a new today at the pet store after her bath. I just caught her putting it in the fountain!

This one is an airblown inflatable. I'm not paying that amount for a second hand one. I think I'm going to get creative and come up with something the world has never seen! :wizard:

I'm not taking Lobster's chrismoose! :rotfl: That would be mean!

That's the spirit! I want to meet someone that paints the lifesized wooden cutouts. I would love to have a family of carolers with a light shining on them. Maybe you could paint a Chrismoose!:yay:

The item that Bonnie stole when I had to lie to her to get it back was J-P's stuffed childhood bunny. You have no idea what a member of this family 'Bun' is. I was terrified!:eek:He stopped shy of taking Bun to college, but just barely, lol!

OK Nell - now I am on a serious hunt for a CHRISMOOSE!! I need to find the manufacturer, so I can get a case of them!!:woohoo: CHRISMOOSES for everyone!! :yay:

So I have invited Diane W here, she is restarting step one today and very relieved to find us! I think we will need to amp up the support network for step 1!!

OMG, I have to change my siggie again, no more "re-run"!!

Lisa - what the heck are you doing here? Get yourself into some slinky things and go find that man of yours!! That dinner-making, vaccuming, car washing man!! :rolleyes1

Carol - I am laughing about Lobster running around with a huge stuffed moose...my Jack Russell NEVER went after shoes even when he was a puppy, but if you DARED to leave a stuffed animal anywhere he could reach, he would climb furniture to get to it!! Im a HUGE SpongeBob fan, (actually Patrick the starfish) and I have a big stuffed pink Patrick that Harley will sneak off with if Im not looking. The darn starfish is at least 3 times his size!

Kate - you have a FOUNTAIN? I want a fountain!!

Too cute. When my older daughter was about 16 the neighbors dog stole her teddy bear that she had had since birth. I still feel bad about it. She still has her blankie though. You can practically see through it.

Good Afternoon All

I did not get on the computer for long yesterday and did not get through many posts so am trying to catch up now:surfweb:

We drove to the far side of the island for an outing today and went to the new Target. I did not look for the Smucker’s 1 carb spread. That’s what I get for not keeping up on the posts!!!:lmao: Just as good as I advanced throught the posts! I wouldn't have found it anyway. That's OK Lisa. We love you anyhow:love:

The only Lowe’s on the island is out that way so made a stop there first. Of course, what we bought doesn’t work so will now have to go and return it. I’ll be checking the new Target later in the week!! Things rust and disintegrate so fast here that we are always replacing things, but can never find the same thing twice. Oh well, makes life interesting.

Did you see the pumpkin pie recipe on Diane’s blog yesterday? I had a can of pumpkin in the pantry and thought I would try it as our Halloween treat. It was quite yummy. Bob said I could make it any time. She says 1 ¾ cup of pumpkin which is one 15 ounce can. I used two measuring cups only to find out I had emptied the can!!! Saves washing things if you just dump the can in.

Thanks for the nice long post, Beverly. You summed up everything perfectly!

I think Polaner’s is an East Coast thing when I went on-line to try to find some. I know it is made back there.

Pony – Wasabi and raspberry could be a very interesting combo – let me know before I try it! Should help make step 2 even more interesting for you!

Kathy and any one with type 2 diabetes- here is a link to an article I got a couple of days ago on Stevia http://low-carb-news.blogspot.com:80/2009/10/possible-stevia-side-effect.html

Lisa, that is so funny about the jam – and here I was sooooo excited as there is no way I can seem to get Polaner’s. Do you know how much I like a bit of jam with my PB????? Onward to step 2…………But PLEASE don’t feel bad. I do things like that all the time especially when I mix hearts and diamonds or spades and clubs in my bridge hand and make an odd bid. The look on my husband’s face when my hand comes down is always a surprise!

Hi Melanie – Nice to “see” you

Doesn’t Benefiber make a soluble, non tasty fiber that mixes well with food? A little Thick’n Thin is also fiber if you want to thicken something – such as your low carb jams!!

When I make applesauce I wash the apples, quarter them and cook them and then run them through a Foley Food Mill. You don’t even have to take the seeds out. I love apple butter so thought when I get to step 2 I would make that.

Nell – that is so funny. I used to make Red Pepper jam all the time and saved some for Christmas. I was thinking I could make it with Splenda and since peppers are legal, it would be fine as a free food. I’ll have to look into it. I used to get red peppers from a farm so they were very inexpensive. Here they are $8 or $9 dollars a pound!! Actually, Costco sometimes has them.

Robin – glad you got the water heater to work. I HATE cold showers.

Sorry I don’t have a Chrismoose here – haven’t seen one. Am I missing out on something?? Condo living limits outside décor, to say the least.

O K – I have read through 2 days of posts. It is only 10PM on the east coast with the time change so maybe someone will still be up when I post this.

Everyone seems quite up-beat except for a pain or 2. My hubby's Gram, who lived until almost 103, had a saying – “What ever you do, just don’t get old!!” Well, we haven’t figured out how to accomplish that, but we try to act young!

Love to all of you:love:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my fountain. I will share a picture of my dog drinking from it (I wish we could post pics here).

Pony is going to bed...dont think I have gone to bed this early in MONTHS!! Between daylight savings time, Ken asleep, and you guys all tucked in front of the tube:happytv:, or with your hubbies, or playing in your fountains, or whatever, I am just ready for a couple chapters of the new book, and maybe some Top chef!!

Hi Jocelyn! good to see you, and believe me, I HATE cold showers too! Thank goodness for the reset button!!

I hope you all have a great night, and a spectacular Monday!!:grouphug:

And here I thought I would have someone to read my post!!:confused3

Good Night and Sweet Dreams of your Ken:goodvibes

I found a flag on eBay with a Chrismoose on it and I have a single lone window that is very visible on the carport. I think I'm going to get that and hang it like a curtain. With the light on it will be all lit up!

If you want affordable yard decor, check out Collections etc. I just found a ton of stuff under 20 bucks for the yard. Now I can get cheesy!

Good night everyone! Sweet dreams! :grouphug:

Kate - you can post pics here, they just need to be hosted from a website such as photobucket. If you need any help, just let me know.
