MM summer hoping and waiting for resale points to load

So I am only 2 weeks since my resale contract closed. It will give me 2024 points, however, realistically these will not load before the sept 1 pre registration for MM. MS just told me currently 4-6 weeks for loading points from resale. I have 9 points in 2025 to Borrow from ( see the reason for resale purchase ). I could waitlist that one night at OKW for a studio in both “views” or should I buy OTUP and use my 9 to book an actual available room? If I do the latter, I guess I want to make sure I can switch reservations to a different resort (if possible) since these 2024 points could come after my banking deadline of May 21 and the one night resort reservation may have no further availability for additional nights. Ahhh sorry for the rant. I am nervous to make an error

You dont have a lot of time for a WL to come through. May 11 is the cut off I believe. I would buy OTUP. Although... I can say I have seen a 9 point room on MM night pop up more than once in my last week of HEAVILY stalking the site.
