So, if someone is a blue card DVC member and they are going to WDW for 5 nights and staying the first night at ASM and then the next 4 nights at BR, can they attend a MM event on that first night( the night at ASM) ??

I believe you can but thats in under the second round.

Last year, we were staying on someone else's points and we had to try for second round. We didn't make it. But got to go by the kindness of another dis member.

This is what the registration page says about who qualifies:

Members with Resort Reservations
When using their Membership to book a stay with Vacation Points, Reservation Points or cash, Members who booked a qualifying Resort reservation* (by calling Member Services or visiting DisneyVacationClub.com) by the cutoff date will have priority booking access to early event registration and can register themselves and up to the number of individuals on their Resort reservation(s). There is limited availability when booking a general event registration date.

Now, I'm interpreting that to mean that you would have had to book your cash reservation thru Member Services in order to do the early reservation. But any elugible member can book a reservation during the open registration period.

^That’s DVC’s wording. Your cash stay would need to be booked through Member Services or DVC.

An onsite cash room booked through WDW will not get access to the first ‘Early Registration’ round. They’d have to wait for the second “General Registration’ round, which has only about 1/10th of the inventory. The majority of tickets are given out during Early Registration. I’d try calling Member Services to see if there’s an eligible room you can book, then drop your original ASM night.

Whoops. I didn’t see yours.

I currently have two people registered on our reservation at BCV can I get four passes to MM or must I add 2 more people to our room reservation? I have two friends who wish to attend with us. Thanks Canadian Tom

You can request up to 5. To get more than 5, then you would need the appropriate number of people listed on the reservation.

Does your reservation have to be for that night of Moonlight magic or if you check out that day does it still count?

As others have mentioned, being at All Stars the night of the event will not get you access to early registration.

So even with only two on the reservation, if the room holds five you can request five? I think I have misunderstood, I thought all five would need to be named on the reservation.

From the way I read it, you can request up to 5 but if you want more than that, you would have to have more than 5 people registered in the villa. We have 4 adults + 1 child + 1 infant in a BWV 2BR. We can only request 5 tickets even though the room accommodates 9 people + 1 infant.

No, you can get 5 even if only 2 on the reservation.

If you want more than 5, you'll need a villa that holds more than 5 - and have completed the names of them in your booking.

The reason they let you get up to 5, even if not on the reservation is because when it opens for general registration, members can get up to 5.

So, they allow those during early registration to have the same number.

Oh, interesting. Now I understand, thanks.
