Hi guys! I have been a long time "ganderer" at this site, and can't thank you all enough for the AWESOME information you guys have posted over the years to help make my Disneyland trips better and better. :wizard:

So, back to my question... I have a Premium AP and my boyfriend does not. We purchased him the 4 day PH, which comes with a MM, but as well all know, the APs do not... Is there any way that I can perhaps get a MM voucher anywhere so he and I can both be at the park early? Otherwise I'm pretty sure he'll just go on without me... :rotfl: just kidding!

Thanks for all your help in advance!

I believe if you plan to stay onsite, you will receive MM benefits. Otherwise, I don't think there is a way to use your AP and get MM.

Unfortunately that is it. No MM unless you stay at a DLR hotel. On the other hand your AP should get you a nice discount at the hotel. Maybe you could stay one or two nights at a DLR hotel?

Thanks for responding back so quickly! :cool1:

I have booked a stay through Get Away Today at the GC from October 13th-16th... but I was thinking about canceling it for the sake of saving some moolah for the trip... I keep changing my mind about it. haha! I have never stayed there and I have always wanted to, and it seemed like such a good idea when I booked it but then I think about how many other things I can buy with that amount of money... hahaha!

So I did know about the Disney hotels giving you MM vouchers if you are staying there, but I just wanted to see if there was anywhere else I could get them... thanks guys!

You could always switch to Paradise Pier hotel to save money but retain your MM previliges. Now this way you both can go every day of your stay that is it offered (T, T, S, S.)

Also, it's not a voucher so there's no way to get them from someone else. It is embedded in your ticket if you have a 3+ day pass, or you show your room key if you are staying on site.

Like Nala said, there are no actual vouchers. There's just no way to get MM if you have an AP but aren't staying onsite.

No vouchers, huh?... :confused3 That's weird because I did one of those online chat thingys through disneyland.com about two weeks ago, and I chatted with a lady there and asked her this very same question and she told me that I could go to the front desk if I was staying onsite and they could, but not guaranteed, give me a voucher for MM... her words, not mine. haha. So that's where I got the whole MM voucher idea.

If you are staying on site I believe you get a slip showing your dates that use use for EE. It is not a voucher that they take.

Bingo! :thumbsup2 Many confuse this for being a MM voucher. This is addressed in my MM superthread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1675403&highlight=mm+superthread

How? For onsite guests, each guest must show their "Key to the Magic" card. This is just a fancy name for your room key, which you can also use to charge in-park purchases. It is given to each member of your party at check-in with the dates of your stay and that person's name. You also need a valid source of admission ticket for entrance. For guests staying offsite, you enter just like you would normally and the MM is deducted from your ticket. For all guests, there is no extra piece of paper or voucher needed for MM. That piece of paper that they give onsite visitors is just for information purposes. It, by itself, does not grant MM privileges, so you cannot pass it on to someone else. All you need is your ticket and if you are staying onsite, your room key.

I wonder if she really meant MTTMM. Because some people (mainly on other boards, though there was a little flurry of posts about it here around a year or more ago) have reported that you can get the "package" extras (sometimes for free, sometimes for around $10) at a certain office in DTD...and that includes the voucher for Mickey's ToonTown Morning Madness.

But ultimately, unless you're talking to a CM in person at Disneyland, you don't know that that CM has ever even *been* to Disneyland. You can get bad advice in person too, but the ones that answer emails and phone calls might not even live in the same state, let alone know what the day to day actual procedures are...it sucks, but it happens.

I was talking to a WDW CM who does go to the parks every week, but he wasn't aware that you can get a one way fare on one airline, and another one way fare on a different airline...last time he flew, it was the days when you were penalized for this, or when it caused extra suspicion...that doesn't generally happen anymore, but he had no idea (and he was helping me with some transportation stuff for our Florida trip)...so it can go the other way, too...lots of knowledge on day to day, but useless for other aspects of the trip (he also sent me to the wrong place to arrange for magical express for the Orlando trip, not knowing that DVC members have to call a different number!).
