MM Editing ?

quick question, do I edit the photos before I "claim" or "download" them or do I download them first. just a little confused on this part of the MM plan. thank you.

Claim photos just means "add photos to my account".

You can only edit the photos on the web site so you have to edit before downloading. I usually say hit the download button first then you have all of your originals. Then once you've finished editing hit it again and you'll know the first one is your originals and the second one is your edits

I second this. I would download all of your photos prior to making edits because even if you make a copy of the picture and edit that, sometimes the original pictures disappears from the account. If you download all of them first, you won't risk losing the original.

this was my plan and I downloaded several hundred pictures....when I go to my computer to view them every single one is the stock christmas photo....I have hundreds of it downloaded to my computer but none of my pics....now I have to wait til monday to find out what is going on. Anyone ever have this happen?

Not that particular problem, but I downloaded our 400ish pictures by hitting "download all" and made several CDs for the multiple families in our group. I just went back to show hubby a couple thst really caught my eye, and noticed that the downloaded file contains, for example, duplicates of one group of us on Mine Train but no copies of the other half of our group, even though both groups are present when I look online. Also had a tower of terror video online that didn't apprear anywhere in our downloads. Now I'm getting worried that I'm going to have to sit and compare 400+ photos side by side to make sure I got them all!

Like I said, I'm pretty sure it's not user error because I wasn't trying to select only certain photos - there's a "download all" choice and I clicked it!

I also did the download all...it will really stink to have to download all 977 photos one by one

Never had that happen....at least I hope it didn't because I didn't go through all 2300+ pictures I downloaded over the summer. However, I would try to download them all again. If you click that button again, it will set up another entire set of downloads, which is what I'm going to guess they will probably tell you when you call (though since there is more than one person with the issue, it could be a problem on their end, in which case I would call first).
