Know someone that is thinking about scheduling a trip to WDW for MLK weekend. He is a complete newbie and a little overwhelmed. Will be going with two kids on his own, one 12 year old daughter and an 8 year old boy with Downs Syndrome. So he will have his hands full.
The question: Is MLK weekend so busy that you HAVE to have ADR's or should he be able to get into a TS fairly easy?

TIA!

We have a trip planned through that weekend.

Based on the room availability -- both DVC and regular rooms, I would recommend making ADRs. He can always cancel if the day's plan seems to get derailed.

The way things have been, and being a busy holiday weekend I would suggest making an ADR or giving him the phone number to call that day and also a list of recommended CS places.

If he is not sure where they will be, he can call that morning and see what is available and when.

If the kids are more let's not waste a single moment while we are here, then CS will be fine for them

Hope they have fun and very nice of you to be helping them

I was checking yesterday and room availability is very slim during that weekend. So in addition to having ADRs, you need to check to see if you can get a room if you plan to stay on property.
