Well, it went down to the final day but we finally have all eight teams in place and ready for October baseball! In my book, there's nothing better, so I thought I'd open a thread where fans of all the postseason teams could discuss the games. Here's how it all begins:
Oakland Athletics @ Minnesota Twins - Tuesday @ 1:00 p.m.
St. Louis Cardinals @ San Diego Padres - Tuesday @ 4:00 p.m.
Detroit Tigers @ New York Yankees - Tuesday @ 8:00 p.m.
Los Angeles Dodgers @ New York Mets - Wednesday 4:00 p.m.
The Tigers were certainly a disappoinment to their fans this weekend in getting swept by the Royals, but, had Jim Leyland asked any NY fans (Yankees or Mets), I think they could have told him that today's game was over as soon as Kenny Rogers took the mound. Two things that do not go together: Kenny Rogers and October baseball. I really think that something physiological happens to Kenny Rogers' brain when the calendar changes from September to October.
So, let's talk October baseball!

They just seemed so pitiful this weekend.
