My DH mentioned a book he wants and I can't remember the name of the author. It's a MLB player who was some rookie phenom who then had a major struggle with drug addiction but is now clean and playing again (maybe in Texas?????????). I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have a clue what this guy's name is? He just wrote a book and DH mentioned on Friday that he'd like it. If I ask him this guy's name again, he'll know he's getting the book! <lol>

This is why I should pay more attention when he's talking to me...well, this is one of the reasons!

The player your husband is referring to is Josh Hamilton -- he plays for the Rangers. He was originally a high (maybe #1) draft pick of the Rays, but he had drug issues and dropped out of baseball for several years. After he cleaned up he was signed by the Reds, who traded him to the Rangers last offseason.

Richard Davis of Trademark Properties (the Real Deal show on TLC) did a show about him in 2007. I don't know if they run re-runs or are on line but it was pretty interesting.
