for those that have flown with midwest does the rate go this low often? or lower?
our trip is not until jan 05' and it seems like its too early to purchase tickets almost 9mths ahead of time, BUT i will kick myself if the rates dont drop again ( we have budgeted $1,000 for airfare) we are a family of 4 .
do they go down often? i have only been watching fares for about 2 mths....

thank you

Tina

princess: I purchased 3 tickets in December for our upcoming June trip and paid a total of $609 with taxes included. My advice is to get them as soon as you can. You may run into promotions afterwards, but I wouldn't count on them. Good luck!

$182 sounds like a great rt fare. I would be suprised to see a lower Midwest fare but it's hard to say what can happen between now and January.

Is this a direct flight? Have you considered AirTran? We just flew AirTran direct from MKE to MCO. It was great, the flights were on time and the service was great, very friendly. Rt fare was 201.00 with all taxes and this was spring break. We flew Midwest to Orlando last April. We were really looking forward to it, we had heard so many good things. We paid about $335 for a rt ticket (Easter time). After we bought our tickets they discontinued meal service although they still served their chocolate chip cookies. We got stuck in the back of the plane with no windows and it was very noisy. The seats were wide but the plane was not that clean and this was the first flight of the morning. The flights were on time. We were disappointed, especially because of Midwest's great reputation in Milwaukee.

It seems that Midwest has taken its Orlando route as more of a tourist route. I understand they were planning on changing planes on this route from 2 accross to the more standard 2 and 3 (to get more on the plane). I would say your 182 is a good price.

We flew on Midwest last time, but can't afford to fly this time. I know we booked our tickets Easter time for a Christmas trip and watched the prices rise.

I guess we spoiled our boys with Midwest! (This was when they still offered meals as well as the cookies, although try to explain to a 3 year old why there weren't cookies for breakfast as all he had heard about was the great cookies. We found out you don't get those on morning runs!)

We are driving this time down. We are looking forward to our adventure and taking our time.
