MK Welcome show?

Since they're remodeling/ refurbishing the Disney Train right now they have a different welcome ceremony at the castle. They're planning to bring back the original show after the train is done in april right????? Personally I'm NOT a fan of the way they're doing it now....

dang this is a bummer. I had a plan in place for Mine Train and everything with the normal rope drop procedures.

well just have a new plane people are still getting there early to go on it people with ADR have been able to get on it, people that are in the front of RD have been able to get on it with very little wait I think you will be fine.

I asked Disney Signature Services about this and they basically said there is no longer an advantage to booking an early ADR at CP or CRT. All guests will be allowed up to the Castle about 1 hour prior to "park opening". They claim the change has been well received and don't see it reverting back to the Train station show. I was definitely disappointed in this as we were looking forward to going down main street in September with the limited crowds.

At least we have YouTube so we can watch the old show. I loved that show - so much anticipation and Disney happiness.

people with ADR armlet in about 5 to 10 minutes early so you can still get that alone picture.

I was never able to watch the old show and I was hoping it would be back for my trip in April. Oh well. I've heard that people are at least liking this show, even though they miss the old one more than they like this new one...

Though I do agree that it takes away from the advantages of early breakfasts in the park. As far as the empty Main Street pictures go, guess we'll all just have to wait out everyone and be the last ones there at night!

I've done the late night 12:30am, nearly empty Main Street. It was a great time, but my 4yr old looked tired! lol

Haha those late nights can be rough on the little ones! Though, in all honestly, they can be rough on everyone!

I think it should be brought back too! That's a very "Disney" thing and I hope it doesn't stay away for long.

While it is sad that they will no longer be doing the traditional opening show I'm excited to see the new one. They really should still pick an opening family. It's an easy way to create customers for life.
