We booked a trip to Disney for President's Day week just last week, which has made getting the more popular fast passes a challenge. I have not been to Disney since the Seven Dwarfs ride came out and would really like to go on it. I did manage to get a FP for it at 8:30 at night. Do you think we would be better off riding it at rope drop so we can finish up our fast passes (I could get them all in the morning/early afternoon) and get new ones for other rides, or should we just hope the lines are not too bad throughout the day? The other fast passes I have are Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. I will keep checking for an earlier fast pass time but if I can't get one I am not sure what the best strategy for the day is. We are two adults and a teenage boy so we can maneuver easily/quickly throughout the park. Thanks for any input!

1. Yes... If you are able to do so.
2. That's a big "hope."
3. FWIW... Those two attractions are virtually "walk-on" during the first 50-90 minutes (give or take) every morning, so consider that.

Thank you so much! This is very helpful. This whole online Fast Pass thing was not around the last time we went, so I have lots to learn in the next couple of weeks! I am used to running around the parks like a crazy person to get my Fast Passes!

There are still quite a few of us who feel that was not such a bad way to do it! ;)

For every "improvement" there will be a list of "unintended consequences."

Yes, I agree with Robo. I'd keep the FP as a back up, but I'd try to rope drop it. I hate to have my FP tied up until evening, especially at MK.

Unless there's another popular FP you really want to get, I would still keep the evening FP for SDMT in case you still want to try for an earlier slot. This makes refreshing/checking for a morning FP that much easier on MDE. Since you already hold a FP for it, the available times for SDMT (if you run into availability) will be shown at the top of the page so you dont have to scroll all the way down each time.

This is a good tip! You may even rope drop it and decide to ride it again later. It's much easier to modify a time than look for a new one.

Just a heads up that weekend is predicted to have crowd levels 8-10.
