MK Toontown Character Greeting

Does anyone have advice for cutting down the wait at Toontown for character greetings? Our first trip, we were at the RD for Toontown, rode barnstormer and then immediately went to the queue for characters. But we still waited at least an hour in the shortest line. Are the lines shorter in the evening?

If you've tried various times of day and have a recommendation, I'd love to hear your advice!

We were at rope drop about 930 and stood until 10 when they dropped the rope. We were the 2nd ones to see TINK and the other fairies..if you can just get to ToonTown and SIT AND WAIT AT THE ROPE! do not go ride anything and that way you will see TINK with little or no wait....then if you want to see the Princess's then that wait time will be super short as well!

i've heard that most of the characters had moved out of toontown with Pixie Hollow? Now there are only 2 lines, one for Tink, and 1 for Princesses? Where have the others all moved. Mickey is still in Judges tent right, how about Minnie, or Daisy?

We've always went during wishes, never waited longer than 20/30 min. and that was during spring break.

I think that's what we're going to do. I think on our first MK day, we'll just do barnstormer at rope drop and move on. Then on the 2nd MK day, go back to Fantasyland & Toontown during the late evening & Spectro Magic Parade. On our last trip that area was a ghost town during the parade!

Minnie is in the Judge's Tent with Mickey, and Daisy is in Town Square (in the morning).

I went last year right before wishes was going to start and waited for like 5 minutes....i was still able to see all of wishes and got to meet the princesses! I ended up watching wishes from around the Pooh ride!
