MK to WL to monorail resorts.

We are going to MK on 11/15 and then we have an ADR at Whispering Canyon at 6:40. I was planning to leave MK and catch the boat to WL. I'm assuming we would have to leave the park by 6pm to make sure we can catch a boat and walk to the restaurant on time.

Then we want to see the the EWP and the Christmas party fireworks from the Poly (9 and 9:30 respectively). We were going to eat at the Wave originally and then take the monorail over, but the kids didn't want to eat there so we are going to the WCC now. I assume we will be done eating by 8pm. What is the best way to get to the poly from WL? Can we walk? Does a boat go there? Is an hour enough time, too much time? We also want to visit the other monorail resorts that evening to check them out (have to plan for our next trip right ).

Can anyone help with the timing and logistics? It is important to my kids to take the monorail to the Contempo at some point.

You can take a boat from WL to either MK or CR and monorail to the Poly from there. I'd just hop on whichever boat shows up first.

I would leave MK a little earlier than 6:00 pm for a 6:40 ADR. The boat ride takes about 12 minutes, but the boats come about every 15-20 minutes. So, if you just miss the boat, you'll have to wait a bit. Then you have to walk to the lobby (5 minutes). Plus they recommend arriving about 15 minutes before your ADR. I would aim to leave MK around 5:45 pm, just to be safe. If you're early, you can look around WL...it's a pretty resort.

You cannot walk to the Poly from WL. I think you can walk between the GF and the Poly, but the monorail is more fun.

You can walk between the GF and the Poly. I agree also that you should allow an hour to get to the WL from MK.
