Based on transit time, what is everyone's preferred method of transportation from MK to Epcot? The monorail is practically an attraction in and of itself and certainly more enjoyable... but I know that wait time can be a huge factor. We are going to be very hard-pressed for time in our upcoming trip (one day only) and I am trying to figure out how to make the best of it.

Has anyone found it quicker to just take the bus?

My vote is for the monorail. We just did it last week and when we switched monorails at the transportation station they were taking one monorail out of service and had to wait a few minutes. Still it was probably under a 10 minute wait. It didn't take long and was a more enjoyable way over to Epcot.

Definitely monorail. No worries about traffic. The only time I've seen lines has been at park open/close, and wait times during the day are about 5-10 minutes usually.

It depends where in Epcot you want to go. For Future World, take the monorails. If going anywhere except Mexico or Norway in World Showcase, it is probably faster to take the bus to the Beach Club and enter through International Gateway.

I generally agree that it depends a lot of where you are going to in Epcot.

Overall, there are three options that come to mind:
For FW: Monorail from MK to TTC, monorail from TTC to Epcot
For WS: Bus to Epcot Resort (Boardwalk or Beach Club are the closet), walk to International Gateway
Either: Walk to Contemporary, taxi to either Epcot (the taxi stop is with the buses) or Epcot Resort
