MK to Chef Mickey's

Just wondering if anyone knows about how long it takes to get from MK to Chef Mickey's. We are planning on eating there for dinner one night and wanted to make sure I have time to get there and back before Spectromagic. Would it be better to take the monorail since we're going to the Contemporary, or to drive ourselves? TIA!

We always took the monorail. With wait time for the monorail you're probably looking at 15 minutes to be on the safe side.

So you will be at the MK first, right?

If so I would certainly take the monorail. It will be much faster and tons more fun.

I would allow 15 minutes from the front of the park but you will probably arrive early. But better to do so just in case there are delays on the monorail.

Be sure to take the resort monorail not the express. The CR is the first stop. You take the escalator down one floor and you're there!

definitely take the monorail unless it appears to be packed for some reason. Its not a long walk either. I'd figure on 15 minutes each way to be safe.

We walked in 2004. It's not that far. We did ride the monorail back to the MK, though.

Walk!! It takes about 8-9 minutes to walk from MK to CR...the path is well lit and very pleasent, unless it's raining. It basically runs underneath, more or less, the monorail tracks. If you take the monorail from MK to CR, it will take you several minutes to get to the monorail platform. Then, you may have to wait awhile for the next monorail to arrive. It could take you a total of 25 minutes to get to CR from MK. That's why we always walk.
When you are ready to go back to MK...do NOT take the monorail if you are in a rush. The MK will be the last stop for you...it could take over 30 minutes to get from CR to MK..especially if you have to wait for the monorail to arrive at CR. It basically takes about 25 minutes to make the complete circuit around the lake via the monorail. You will be much better off walking back to MK if you are short of time.

Like the above poster said, definitely walk! We always walk every year and it seems to be the fastest, unless you're lucky enough to walk to the monorail and have it waiting for you and ready to depart the moment you walk on (which has never happened for us...........I guess we're unlucky ). The walk really is nice IMO.
