MK Rope Drop and Chef Mickey ADR

If I have a 7:15 ADR for Chef Mickey and MK opens at 9:00, will we have enough time to get to the RD at a good time? As of right now, I can back it up to 7:00, but that seems like a big 15 minutes so early in the morning

I was there at a pretty busy time last August. Had a 7:35 AM ADR, got in at 7:25 and did not rush at all because we were a large group. Left in about an hour after using bathrooms and such, walked to MK and made it in time to watch some of the opening show from outside the turnstiles. So we were at the back of the pack for RD, but still in good shape overall. We weren't racing for a headliner, just trying to make good time on several smaller rides, and we did.

It all depends on when you want to be at RD, I believe the show starts at most 20 minutes before opening because they will do RD but walk you to the main hub. We have gone through 15 minutes before park opens though a couple of times, I guess they just wanted to open early??!!

We had a 7:15am ADR at Chef Mickey's, we were seated at 7:05, and we were done and out the door with bathroom stop by 8:15. The table next to us, also a party of 3, was done at the same time. The nice thing about that very early ADR time is that we were seated right at the beginning of the route the characters take. So we saw all five in rapid fire succession. It certainly wasn't a leisurely breakfast but we got what we wanted (pics of Mickey and friends with our DS) and had enough time to eat. An added bonus was that the buffet wasn't yet picked over and food was at its freshest. If you then walk quickly, you could be at MK by 8:30 or so (earlier if you skip the bathroom stop).

We have done it many times without an issue. We even leave CM and take pics out back on the big Mickey ears behind contemporary and then walk over to MK to be there before rope drop.
