Well you are in luck.

None of the rollercoasters at WDW have "big" drops.

The biggest "fast" drop would be in space mountain and that is NOTHING big by ANY means. It's a VERY short little drop.

Big Thunder has no drops and any little drops it has are very slow speed.

Rockin Rollercoaster is scarier (not for me but in general) than the others as it is fast and intense. However there are NO drops but, know that instead of going up a hill it is simply launched from 0-60 mph into the ride. It's a high G launch that may be intense for some little kids but your age should be GREAT!

Hey you'd love all of them even if you dont do coasters. My wife doesnt even do coasters AT ALL but rides them all at WDW. Even RCRC is easy for her.

I agree- none of the coasters have big drops. They can be very fast and twist and turn a lot, but no big drops.

I do believe this may change w/ the new one at AK. I thought I've read there will be a substantial drop w/ this.

Just be sure to avoid TOT if they don't like drops. This drops you over and over and over again :scared1: .

I agree, avoid Tower of Terror for sure. Splash Mtn. could be a maybe avoid, although I think it looks scarier than it actually is. The drop is not really that bad once you're on it.

Rock'n Rollercoaster doesn't have any big drops, but the launch at the beginning gives your stomach the same feeling as a drop would, gotta love those G-forces. Anyway, I would give it a try. The kids will probably love it because the fear of heights factor is not there.

All of the others should be just fine with the exception of the Expedition Everest (which isn't open yet), and all bets are off for that one!

In the MK start with Goofys Barnyard coaster, then try Big Thunder Mountain. If that goes ok try Splash Mountain it does have a drop. Then Space Mountain. If they are ok after that Try Rock & roller coaster for the older kid the 8 year my find it to intense.

I am not into big drops either. Now that I know Rock& roller coaster doesn't have any drops, does it have a loop? I thought it did. I now might ride it when I go in Dec!

I'm pretty sure we went upside down 3 times. I've been on it 3 times and while I ride it to keep a friend company, it's too intense and I don't really enjoy it. Love Big Thunder , Splash and Space Mountains. RnR is just too intense for me. I am glad that I tried it :teeth:

I think I'm the same as your kids... I can handle speed, I can handle heights, I can handle loops... but I cannot handle any drops. By the looks of things, I would avoid Splash Mountain at MK and definitely the Tower of Terror at MGM... however, I have been on Space Mountain. I actually asked about the drops and it was very scary but it DID NOT make my stomach feel like I couldn't stand it... it was just a thrill. The biggest drop on Space Mountain is 30 feet and I would do it again! I plan to try Rockin' Roller Coaster next trip.

On a scale from 1 - 10, one being minimal scare factor...

Splash Mt- 8
The last drop is scary. I love roller coasters and stuff, so it suited me fine. But when you are actually going down the drop, it goes really quick, and it's not as bad as it looks. There are some more littler drops during the ride too. I would probably avoid it.

Space Mt- 8
No major drops, but a lot of jerking around tight corners. It's completely dark in there, so you can't see the turns. I think there is one drop, but it's not bad. Plus it's done really quick.

Big Thunder Mt - 6
Only 2 drops that make you come out of your seat, but nothing huge. It's a very tame ride, despite the warning (Hold on to your hats folks, 'cause this here is the wildest ride in the wilderness!)

Barnstormer- never been on it

:worship:Tower of Terror- 10
Definietly scary...with major drops! I love it!! :cool1: I'd avoid this one too.

:worship:Rock n Roller Coaster- 8
No drops in this one, just 3 inversions. 2 half loops and one corkscrew. It's also faster that all the others. When I sat in the front car, front seat (that was GREAT!) I came off and my eyes were watering like crazy from the wind. Although there is one part, at the very end, that is a little hump that makes you come out of your seat a little.

Have fun down there!! ::MickeyMo

None of them have big drops, but if you were to avoid some, I'd skip Splash Mountain (water ride, log flume) and Space Mountain (in the dark, couple of drops, twists and turns that you cant see coming)

I hate roller coasters.

That being said, I LOVE Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

I rode Splash Mountain one time and almost went into cardiac arrest.

Two outta three ain't bad.

I would be careful riding space mountain if your kids don't like drops. The drop on SM isnt big, but it kinda takes you by suprise. Like MAKmom said try goofy's barnstormer, it has a VERY small drop (I don't know if you can even call it a drop) but if they like that then try BTM.

Just a tip for Space Mountain, and of course this is only my opinion, but I found if when you're close to boarding and the line splits where you can choose to go left or right, choose the left first. To me the ride seemed less jerky and scary vs the right hand side. I read that there is a difference between the two lines too, so it's not just in my head. :)

As for Rock n' Roller Coaster, I felt even with the inversions it wasn't intense other than the beginning launch which doesn't last long. In fact, the ride itself is very short. I'd be surprised if it's over a minute long!

BTMR is much longer, but it's really fun and I consider it a great "starter coaster" for kids. I plan on taking my stepkids on it next time we visit.

Yes thats true, we rode both sides the left the first time and the right the second time and the left doesnt have the drop that takes you by suprise, I was waiting for it the whole time and it never came. The ride it practically the same just not so rough.
