I hope this is the correct place to post this. On our arrival day of Saturday we will be eating at Chef Mickey's. After dinner the rest of my group/party will be heading over to the Magic Kingdom for Spectromagic and Wishes! Me and my sister plan on having a few drinks of the alcoholic nature. Please give me some suggestions as to where to go and what to get at the following resorts.

We plan to get a drink at the Contemporary then head over to the Wilderness Lodge and then to the Poly and lastly to the Grand Floridian and then head back to the AKV where we are staying.

Thanks

At the Contemporary I would recommend going to the Outer Rim Lounge on the 4th floor or the bar at The Wave which is located in the lobby. At the Polynesian I would recommend going to the Tambu Lounge, at the Grand Floridian I would recommend going to the Mizner's Lounge and at the Wilderness Lodge I would recommend the Territory Lounge.

The only thing I can not say is what drinks to get at those locations, because I never had drinks there before.

I was thinking of getting something Contemporary at the Contemporary (DUH). Hoping to get something Rustic at the Wilderness Lodge. Thinking about something Tropical at the Poly and then something Fancy at the Grand Floridian and then finishing with something exotic at the AKVs.

Any drink suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's easy to get "pineapple drinks" at the Poly. Generally I'm a wine drinker, but couldn't pass up the pineapple. :D Don't recall what I had, just that it was (not surprisingly) fruity and boozy and good. Good luck with your quest!

At the Poly, you can get a drink called Lapu Lapu, which is a rum based fruity drink served in a pineapple. I have not had the pleasure to try this as yet, but I read good things about it regularly.

Yep, that was it. :thumbsup2

The Territory Lounge at WL has a couple of good regional microbrews, if you like beer. Two or three different brews from the Washington state/Oregon area, IIRC. They were tasty!

Any suggestions for the WL or GF?

Thanks

A glass of Champagne at the GF, of course ;)

Please keep in mind that getting from CR to WL to Poly isn't so easy. Staying on the monorail CR - Poly - GF is much easier. But WL will be worth it for the lobby and atmosphere and their bar is so nice :) You're going to have a blast!

Backscratcher at the Tambu lounge is a "waiting for my Ohana table" favorite... also makes the shows during dinner much funnier!!!!

=)

Kir Royale at Mizner's :thumbsup2 Champagne with Chambord. Or, a Bellini (champagne with peach puree). DH & I had a nice quiet time there before our Citricos dinner; I had a Kir Royale, he had an Agave Margarita.

Ahh, the Monorail Drink-a-thon...how I miss thee. If you want to do all four resorts, I'd recommend you take the boat to WL after dinner and have a drink or two there. Take the boat back to the Contemporary and hit up the Outer Rim for a few drinks there (is it still the Outer Rim? I haven't kept up with their recent changes...) Then hop on the Monorail to the Poly for a drink or two (we usually get the pina colada or a backscratcher) and finally the Grand Floridian for a drink or 5 at Mizner's Lounge. Finish this off by riding the monorail over to MK and bee-line to thunder mountain (since Space Mountain is closed atm) and see how you handle it.

Good luck, and have fun!

Agave margarita sounds yummy!

Yum...I'll have to try the pineapple drink the next time we go to Ohana. Fruity and boozy are two of my favorite things! We plan to drink around the World (Showcase) our next trip!
