Just thought i'd let you know our MK shoot in may is on a thursday. We have to be ready for 5.45 due to them opening mk early. Might be worth checking with them again.
I also received an extremely RUDE phone call from Dara, stating my time would be changing from 7:30 to 6:30 (daylight savings time in March = dark photo shoot @ 6:30, not happy about this that why I scheduled at 7:30)
When I asked why these sudden changes just days out from our wedding, she replied "I don't have an answer for you, I can either change the time or cancel your shoot, I have people waiting for this day, so I need your answer"
By the end of this phone call, I was in tears. I can't believe how unprofessional that phone call was. I wish I had recorded it because it was truly MAGICAL!
I have talked to our wedding planner and she is trying to get us a definitive answer, as to why this change is being made, as the MK morning park hours have NOT changed.
What a terrible experience to have just days before our wedding!![]()

That is just not acceptable! I presume you mentioned how rude she was to your planner? Personally I'd complain, there is no need to be so rude when you're just asking a question about something you're paying a lot of money for!
Rest assured that you won't have to deal with people like this on your wedding day. You'll have a beautiful day whilst this Dara is stuck behind a desk hating her life.![]()
OK. I am seriously mad about this. I canceled our MK shoot because of the move to 7:30. Now its too late to get it back!
I just canceled it too, last week. They HAD to know the change was coming. Argh!!!!

Yep. I'd had the shoot booked since last year (my wedding is in 3 weeks). They moved me to 7:30 sometime in I think January...then I was on the fence about the MK shoot since we wouldn't get night shots anymore. When it came time for our final payment (last week), I let the MK shoot go.
I wouldn't have if I had know they were going back to 6:30!!!!
I'm a little discouraged by all the rudeness being experienced here. There is no excuse to act like that with a client, no matter what happened. Maybe everyone at DFAP had a big hunk of cranky for breakfast.
I think I might be on the opposite side from most bride with this time change. I was super excited when they moved the times to 7:30 because I don't want night time pictures. Yeah, the castle looks pretty at night all lit up, but I want natural sunlight pictures to look at for the next however many years.
Granted, I'm not getting married for almost two years, but sunrise in Florida in January is around 7:20am. 7:30am shoots were brilliant to me. I'm still hoping if they are doing two couples again, that maybe I can swing a later slot for my shoot to get sunrise/daylight pictures.
I was actually pleased about the later time too! I tend to blink a lot when the flash is on. I figured daytime photos might help with that![]()
Ditto! I thought I was the only one that did that....
I've seen so many pictures in daylight, and they are just so darn beautiful. I knew I had to have 'em.
