MK Photo Shoot Questions - So Bummed

thanks Brit Jude - i've been meaning to find that guide for a few days but kept getting enthrawled in other threads and my time on the net would come and go before I remembered to download it! - i'm going to do it now while its fresh in my mind!

I must admit though - I thought the guide was just purely disney stuff and didnt mention outside vendors!

Does patricia come to your hotel for the trial run then? I always thought brides had to go to her salon?

Patricia now has a studio in downtown that I went to for my trial but I'm sure she will come to your room if you request it. We had a car so it wasn't a problem.

not to be off topic but, Does anyone know if the MK photo shoot counts toward your minimum if you do it on a day other than your wedding day? I remember reading somewhere that on things on the day of counted towards your minimum...or am I crazy?

For a Wishes wedding If you use DPS for your wedding day photography and schedule your MK shoot for another day it will count toward your minimum. Bc I used an outside photographer mine didn't count toward my minimum. This is what I was told by Dara from DPS in an email.

In the same email she told me that if I have my MK shoot the morning of my wedding it would count toward my minimum bc it would be on the actual wedding day.

I believe for escape weddings that have to meet the new $7500 minimum the MK shoot counts anytime.

I will tell you to ask your planner anyway because it seems every bride gets a different answer. I know that when I was asking my planner a few brides has been told the same thing bc we were discussing it in a thread.

ohh...that doesn't sound promising, we're doing it later that week and we need it to count...and I've already booked the roots so I'm not using DPS

I did not have my dress resteamed. It never even occurred to me. I did have hair and makeup again- 3 am! I used a silk bouquet because my original was already sent to Keepsake Floral for preservation. I did get a new boutonniere for my husband from Disney floral. Our photographer already had it in her van, which was awesome because I was worrying at 4 am when it wasn't being delivered to our room lol.

I didn't get my dress resteamed. I did get the floral refresh though for my bouquet and DH's bout, because I just thought (and was right) that the bouquet would get beat up on my wedding day.
