Malibelle, our shoot is scheduled for two days after our wedding (I originally had it booked the day of, but then realized I was a crazy person for trying to do a shoot at 5 am, then sit around and wait for our NOON wedding; lol!). I know a lot of the hair people charge $15 or more extra for doing a MK shoot because it's so darn early in the morning. So my solution was to incorporate a veil for my wedding, so basically I can just pull my hair up and stick the veil comb through it so (hopefully!) you won't be able to tell it wasn't professionally done (not many pics from the back, I assume). I'm doing my own makeup too, just planning on paying REAL close attention to the woman who does it the day of the wedding.
Good luck!
Oh! Almost forgot. The only downside to having the shoot after your wedding is that your flowers (depending on what they are) will likely be droopy. I read somewhere on the boards that Disney can refresh them for $50, but I'm getting hydrangeas and for whatever reason they're more expensive. Rosie said it would be about $125, because they'd actually be replacing any of the drooping flowers. I thought that was pretty steep, but I'm at the "whatever! this my wedding and I want it to look fabulous!" stage, so I sucked it up and paid extra. Don't forget to talk to your coordinator or Rosie about that charge as well...
