MK Park reservation for Oct 1st

So I have been seeing everywhere the MK is booked up for Oct 1st and even their calendar shows that MK is not available. I just booked my hotel stay and was able to get a reservation for MK on Oct 1st. Anyone else have this happen? Is it a glitch? It shows up on MDE so I know it went through.

Sounds like you're good to go since it's showing up in your MDE! That's great news as as you say, it's been full for a while. Glad it worked out for you!

I know, I saw this too. I was pretty surprised when it came up available. I had no plans to go the MK that day, but figured the something like this might be worth it.

I have not had this happen for Oct 1, but I was able to book a sold out park (even after it said all parks were sold out) for all 7 of us a few times during our trip earlier this month. Not sure why, but it happens and it is legit because we were able to go to the park on the "sold out" days that we booked.

The availability calendar does not update in real-time to reflect every single person’s change of plans, so it is possible to pick up someone else’s canceled park pass reservation for a “sold out” park. I’m guessing the system checks availability at specific times throughout the day and changes to show a park as “available” or “unavailable” only after crossing a specific threshold of the # of reservations available - but I have no inside info as to how it actually works.
