We are gong mid November and want to see the show. I have reservations for 4:00 p.m on November 14. I scheduled it on our HS day because we will not be riding TOT or the roller coaster don't like drops or going upside down. What time do you think we would need to leave HS in order to make our 4:00 reservation? We will be relying on Disney transportation. I originally thought we could ride the ferry over to Ft Wilderness but it does not leave from HS. Transportation is definitely easier from MK but we will only have one day at MK and I don't want to commit 3 or 4 hours to dinner. If we did not arrive back at MK until 7 we would not have much time before Wishes to do anything. In your opinion would we be better off skipping HS and doing extra day at MK?

I'd plan to leave DHS by 3pm. If you take the bus to FW, you will need to transfer to another bus to get to the review. You could also take a bus to WL, and catch a boat over to FW.

Will the Osbourne Lights be happening at DHS by that time? If so, I'm guessing you will miss them (or are planning to) by doing HDDR. Judging from your post, I'm assuming you won't have Park Hoppers.

I would be exiting DHS by 2 pm. WDW suggests you allow 90 minutes travel time between destinations and they aren't exaggerating. It once took us 90 minutes to get from BC to MK and then walk to CR. If you happen to arrive at Hoop De Doo early, there is a lot to do - visit the General Store, visit the horses.

If it were me and my choice was 1 day MK, half-day DHS or 1 1/2 days MK, I would skip DHS and do 1 1/2 days at MK. There is SO much to do at MK and it will be such a quicker trip over to FW. We don't do TOT or RNRRC either and, if we go to DHS at all, it's a half-day park. We typically skip most attractions as I find they are incredibly dated.

We tried to get to FW from MK and waiting for the boat took a really long time. The line was so long that one boat couldn't take everyone. I think it took us an hour to get to FW from MK.

If you don't want to spend four hours of your MK day going to HDDR then I think you would be better off picking up the FW bus from HS. The bus ride is only about ten minutes long. You will have to take N internal bus to get from the bus depot to Pioneer Hall, but all three internal buses will take you there, so that shouldn't take too long. I would allow at least an hour or more to get to HDDR from HS, since you need to add time to wait for a bus.

If you don't have a rental car, I agree with the poster who said to take a bus from HS to FW. Once you are there, you catch one more internal bus to Pioneer Hall. It doesn't take that long.

We did the 6 pm show back in May (and loved it!). We got there early, like they suggested, and all we did was stand in the heat for 40 min. starving and hoping the doors would open any minute. I won't get there so early next time.

Have a great trip!

Thanks for the tips. We do have a car but I drive 40 miles every day to work and am looking forward to someone else doing the driving for me. We have a 3 day pass. The plan was to spend one day each at MK, Epcot and HS.

That is a tough question, because with only 1 day at mk you really need all the time you can just to get in the rides you will want to see. However, at hs at that time of year is osborne lights which is my favorite thing at wdw ever. I would go to hddr on the hs day as long as you can go back to see the lights!
