I am looking for opinions on what one park to book for our April trip. :)

Here's the background: We are seasoned WDW veterans. We last traveled to WDW in February 2020 and just purchased one MK After Hours ticket. It was a very disappointing experience. Needless to say, we were given a comp one-day pass. We plan to use it this April, but can't decide on the park!
  • MK points: We're staying at the Poly for the first time, so the proximity and monorail to MK is a plus for me. For fun and convenience. A variety of attractions. Classic Disney experience and new snacks. We will be able to use Extra Evening Hours, to give us even more park time.

  • DHS points: We have yet to see Star Wars or Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, so there is something new to see at DHS. (DH and DS will not likely ride TOT or RNRC.) Downside is Fantasmic is not running again (yet). We also love Toy Story Land.
This will be my 32nd trip to WDW, and I wanted to be on property for the 50th, so I would be happy with either. DS wants DHS for Toy Story Land, and DH doesn't really care. I'm undecided on Genie+ or LL but not opposed to it (if that makes a difference for your recommendation). What would you all do? I know we'll catch MK fireworks from the Poly, so that's a bonus. Just trying to decide ASAP so I can book a few ADRs.

Please help. :) LOL

Staying at the Poly would sway me towards MK. Embrace the fact that you can have an easy commute to and from the park.

Also, since MK and Poly both opened the same day, you are really celebrating the 50th anniversary!
