MK on arrival or departure day?

We’re staying at the Grand Floridian in February. Right now posted hours are 9-6 pm for MK but I have a feeling they may get extended slightly?
If you had to choose would you go to MK on arrival day or departure day (I only have 4 days worth of tickets so can’t do both) Our flight gets in at 1:45 Wednesday so I think by the time we could actually get to the park it would be 3:30 at the earliest. On Sunday I think the Magical Express will more than likely pick us up at 11:30ish since we have a 2:30 flight.

1. Could be 👌.
2. Arrival. (Both.)
3. If you have “regular” tickets, you COULD decide to ALSO go to a park on departure day, you can upgrade (not very expensive, considering) as late as on the same day as you use your current ticket ‘s last “day.”

I’d go arrival because I feel like on departure day id be worried too much about watching the time to make sure we don’t miss the bus. So I would stress myself out and not enjoy the time at MK

I would go to MK whichever day (arrival or departure) is NOT a weekend since they are likely to be much more crowded.

Neither. I'd do AK on arrival and EP on departure. Less to do in those parks. Save a whole day for MK and HS.

Agree with everyone, go on Arrival day hands down. When its time to go, its time to go. I couldn't imagine trying to squeeze in few hours of park time rite before I have to start the travel back home, especially with time restrictions. Not to mention it would make it harder for me to leave. I like to get mindset its over and time to go. Now, if u could change ur flight to later.

I would do arrival day. You can enjoy the park right up to closing and you might get lucky with them extending hours.
If you try on departure, if it opens at 9 and you will get picked up by magical express at 11:30, you might have 90 minute at the park. A lot of travel time for not much time at the park.

One thing to keep in mind on arrival day is you might not get there when you think. For our last trip a few years ago we had an early morning flight and it left 2 hours later than it was supposed to due to a mechanical issue. We were supposed to land at nine something so had made early afternoon FPs at MK. Thankfully did not make a lunch ADR. We did not land until 11 something and we do not do ME we rent a car as we do other area attractions so by the time we got our bags and left the airport and got to our room at POR and had a little snack to tide us over it was 2 or 3 something by the time we got to the park and missed almost all of our FPs. If your plane is delayed and the parks close at 6 that does not give you much or any time. Even if you get there at 3 that is only 3 hours.

DS's favorite park is the MK and he always likes to do it the last full day of vacation we have as it's a highlight of the trip. So this is what we do on Orlando trips these days.
