Hi all,
First post here. ..
Our family of four (kids ages 5 and 2) gets to do one day at MK on Saturday Feb 8. Due to other Orlando area commitments that's our only option for a day at the park. It will be a first trip for 3 of us (my husband went a few times as a kid). I've done a lot of research already so don't need general advice, just on one or two specific points.
We are planning to be at the park before the official open. Our priorities are what our girls want to do so we're skipping SM, BTMRR, and the haunted Mansion (and the Ariel ride because Ursula gives my 5 year old nightmares!). We have an early afternoon fastpass for PP and an evening one for 7DMT. Currently have a JC fastpass in the morning but that's switchable depending on what strategy for rope drop that we pick. I'll try to move the late FP to earlier, if possible (mostly worried my kids won't make it until 7pm) but a robust FP strategy for getting 4th and 5th FP isn't a major priority.
I'm trying to work out the best option for starting the day. We're debating between rope dropping Adventureland to get JC and Pirates done early with minimal waits or starting in Fantasyland and trying to knock out a bunch of things like Winnie the Pooh, Princess meet and greets, and enchanted Tales with Belle.
I do have princess obsessed girls so watching the opening show and starting out by walking through the castle might almost be worth the price of admission for my five year old!
As an aside, my two year old seems to think that Mickey will be going on the rides with her all day!
Thanks!

I ditto the above that you could spend the entire day in Fantasyland and they'll believe they're in heaven.
