I'm wondering is the coaster fast and jerky? Is it similar to Thunder Mountain? One of people in our party gets motion sick and I don't want to ruin their day by taking them on this ride if it's too fast or jerky. Personally I can't wait to ride it.

It is the smoothest coaster I have ever ridden (basically, the only one I can now ride). I have severe neck issues (seldom ride on the Safari as it was made ridiculously jerky). I love the 7DMT but we usually request the front seat.

My DD hates Thunder Mountain and she loves 7DMT. It is very smooth. It also has slow parts, and the fast parts don't really feel that fast too me. It is a pretty tame coaster.

Very smooth. I would be more likely to get motion sickness on the carousel than Mine Train. It will feel faster at night in the dark (it isn't, just an illusion I've noticed), so maybe go during daylight.

My favorite ride in Magic Kingdom. It's so smooth and I love it. Too bad we don't have it in Disneyland....just for this ride I would get year pass!

Very smooth - very fast, I get motion sick and it doesn't bother me at all.

It's a family coaster. Very smooth but also about the tamest coaster at Disney. Drops are much less than even Big Thunder. Theres also sections where the cars slow down to a crawl while viewing the scenes inside the mine. Very short ride but fun. Not worth the 60 minute plus wait and I'd rather use FP's elsewhere but for families its often a hit.

I get really bad motion sickness & there are only 3 rides I've found at WDW that are an issue for me. Teacups, Mission Space & Star Tours. But, even with those, if I take Damamine a while before riding, I'm just fine. You may want to suggest trying that to the party member that gets sick. If it works for them, then they'll be able to enjoy more rides with the group & not feel like they have to miss out on the fun skipping rides.

It's basically a children's coaster. Nothing to fear motion wise.
