I read somewhere this usually isn't open until 10AM. Is this open all day? Does it close early? Just wondering a good time of the day to visit it to get a pic with Mickey and not wait in a really long line.

I have pictures with my kids and Mickey all over the place and have never waited in line to see him in the judges tent - the time guide will tell you when he is there - but everyone who knows nothing about Disney goes there to see him and you will wait in line forever - I would try to find him somewhere else - like on the backlot in MGM

Toontown opens at 10am if MK opens at 9am. Mickey usually shows up to open the area and then goes to his house. If you are at the train station instead of the front of toontown, you can go in to meet Mickey really fast because usually there are only a few people waiting at the train station and it's closer to Mickey's house, so you can get there before the mad stampede.

When we went in January, we happened to be at the train station right before Toontown opened. Mickey came by himself, and did a couple of photo opps for the folks, and DS got to give Mickey a hug. Then Mickey helped drop the rope and then he picked a child to walk with him to his house.

just to let you know mickey at mgm is dressed up as the sorcerer. toontown he's dressed normally. Also fyi, when you go to toontown, I don't know how mickey does it but there is more than one room with Mickey in it, hint, hint. So the line moves a little faster than you would think.

I prefer the "traditional/normal" mickey and sorcerer mickey. I'll look out for him at MGM too. Thanks!

If you're going during Star Wars Weekend, Mickey is dressed as a Jedi Knight.

At MGM, he'll be in a room next to Millionaire.
