MK is very crowded today

You could always start a rumor in line about the Jonas Brothers being over in Fantasy land :lmao:
that should clear the line out quickly! :rotfl:

OP, if you're still around, I was wondering about the fastpass situation also. Could you let us know if you did have a fastpass for something else at the time you were in line for Splash, or if all the FP for Splash were gone when you were in the line? I'm curious!

Thanks!

Weird, Touring Plans says Monday is the best day for MK when I'm there in August.

Anyways, to the OP, hope the crowds ease a bit for you, especially later in the evening then you can pump out some attractions in a hurry.

You can keep your 70 minute wait time and I will keep my nice comfy, quiet house. Ugg....I don't see how a busy/hot day at disney is better than home/work. Not me!! I don't have that much patience!!

lol, I'd rather be at work than outside, in Orlando, waiting with hundreds of other people in a slow movig line. But that's just me.

I would want to be in the pool at Disney right now...that sounds nicer than work

I'd rather be pushed aside by backpacks, bake in the heat, be cut in front of, and hear screaming kids, as long as I'm at WDW and not at work. :)

I agree with the others.

I am dreaming of standing in the hot Orlando sun, watching the same faces pass by with every turn of the queue. Reading the T-shirts on others in line, wondering how far they came and if they are as obsessed with Disney as I, even though I look stoic as I wait for the impending sound of logs screeching to a stop, boarding the dampened seat and cruising on an adventurous, exhilarating ride with my family, fantasizing about the Mickey Premium bar awaiting me at the exit and maybe even drifting off to an afternoon at the pool and dinner at Bomas and returning later to MK for Spectromagic..

But instead I am sitting in my window-less office working (scratch that. supposed to be working) far, far away from WDW.

(But no way am I waiting 70 minutes...my top 4 rules to enjoying WDW...learned on these Dis Boards...get to the park early, get fastpasses, leave during the heat of the day and make ADRs).

We always find Monday to be the most crowded day of the week at MK.

Is this the case in late September? I was planning on going on Monday 21st Sept as it's open until 9pm then (every other day is either 8/7pm, EMH or weekend)....Do i need to rethink?:headache:

Generally speaking, Mondays are usually one of the most crowded days of the week. But you also need to consider the time of year.

There is possibly the F&W Festival in EPCOT when you're going, but that won't affect MK whatsoever. Free dining is also going on. That will drive up crowds overall, but not as much in MK as other parks with their bigger restaurant selections. The biggest factor in your favor, though, is that school is most definitely in by late September. That's the biggest factor of all. I've been around that time (though not with free dining then), and the parks were relatively quiet, 7 days a week. Early October picks up again, because of all the fall breaks around the country.

Just looking at Touring Plans, and they have the Magic Kingdom as the best park for the next 4 mondays.

LOL ... I just came on here to write the same thing. UG lists MK as the "best park" to be at today, Monday, July 13. LOL

A few observations on posts here:

1. Tour guides are not bibles. They only suggest which days are best. There are no set rules stating they are 100% correct. They don't go by what the economy is doing & who is attending the parks on what days. They go by stats on previous time frames.

2. OP was letting others know it was crowded & others were just letting OP know even with crowds, they would rather be there than at work :goodvibes

3. OP may have thought that others were taking post wrong and being nasty, which many were not...again, they were just stating they know it is crowded based on time frame and history of MK with crowds ( & would still rather be there :goodvibes).

If one is going to go to any theme park in the summer, especially the Disney ones, expect lines, expect extreme heat and expect rain ;) that way if you do not encounter them, you will be thrilled :goodvibes

to all that are there.... ENJOY! it is your vacation.. have fun :goodvibes I am going Aug 9th... and know what I am in for......:cool1:

This is my concern. I'm going next Sunday and was planning on MK based on UG.

Precisely why I go with TGM for my park days. ;)

He has Epcot as his #1 pick today.

He asks that you not share that info, Sleeping Becca, but yeah, that's why I use TGM myself! :)

My first thought was, what does Tour Guide Mike say? ;)
