MK in One Day?

I'm planning my family's once-in-a-lifetime trip in May to WDW, but schedules changed and we only have four days to dedicate to the parks, one for each day. We have MYW tickets- no hop, and are staying on property.. We don't have children in the group so we might be able to do move around at a faster pace, though we are planning to see characters, get on most rides, and see the fireworks show.

Our FP+ plans are:
Anna and Elsa (if we can get them)
Splash Mountain
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

We're from California and can easily do Disneyland in one day, no matter how busy (even during the 60th Anniversary celebrations), but we know MK is a different beast. Is it possible to do (the majority of) MK in one day? Should we utillize EMH? And if it is, any tips on making MK happen in a day? Thank you!

It is possible to do MK in one day. Not having kids will make it easier as hopefully you can move at a faster clip. I'd plan on a rope drop to close type of day, as you will be doing most of the high demand attractions in the first two or last two hours of operation. Group your FP+ so they can all be used by noon, and take advantage of as many bonus FP+ as possible. Mid day your pattern should be book FP+, hit high capacity low demand attractions until FP+ window or do a M&G, use FP+, book another FP+.

Easywdw has a good starting point for your 1 day touring plan.

It would be important to know when you're going to answer this question. WDW in September is a totally different thing than WDW in July. Crowds at WDW at also a completely different thing at WDW than at DL.

With no little kids, and skipping some things, it's possible. Utilizing FP to its full advantage. Being there before rope drop and staying until close would help. Also, if you can take advantage of nighttime EMH, that might help.

Yes, it's possible, we did it on SuperBowl Sunday. At the front of the line for rope drop and stayed till 10. We didn't do Space or Splash, but we did everything else (this was before 7D) We did quickservice for both meals.

I would say yes! It TOTALLY is! Esp with no children in tow!
UTILIZE EMH, Those AM emh specifically
-Arrive right at 8am, head straight back to Fantasyland, opting for the older rides, PPF, WTP, LM ride, Circus area if you wanted to. Head to Tomorrowland right after that, hit up Space, Buzz, Orbitor/Speedway, or whichever else you might want.
-As close to 9 as you can/when that's finished, (you should be able to finish it, we usually did Fantasy & Tmr in an hour with those hours) head over to Frontierland!
-Splash, BTMRR, then to Adventure with Pirates, JC, Carpets should you want to, HM,
-Head back to Fantasyland to check on Rapunzel's line
-Use your fast passes for: Anna & Elsa, Mine Train, and something else that is a MUST DO for you (OR Wishes!!)
-Make sure to watch the 3pm parade if you like parades.
-Be aware of character schedules, many only meet in the morning hours (ie, Mary Poppins, Chipmunks, Snow,Marie)
-We like to watch the 2nd Electiral parade from Frontierland, it starts on Main Street so if it starts at 8, you could easily stroll up in frontierland at that time and have a front row seat. (if there is 2 a night)
-Make sure your meals are QS if you really want to do everything, and try to eat not at peak times!

Thanks for all the tips! I think we will try to go on a morning EMH day. It just seemed like most people recommend avoiding EMH if possible.

Also, we do have a dinner ADR at BOG, but do you think that would eat up too much time (and money too) given only one day?

I think with EMH and smart FP+ selections you can. We did AM EMH this last week and were able to do Peter Pan, Small World, Winnie the Pooh, Barnstormer, Tea Cups, and Dumbo in that hour. We went straight to Pete's at 9 and saw the 4 characters with no wait. We had FP+ for 7 Dwarves, BTMR, Splash, and Space (some in our party didn't want to ride either one so we were able to get those who wanted to ride on those with FP). We also rode Buzz, Peoplemover, and Speedway. We left around 2:30 to take rest at the resort before dinner at Epcot. If we had stayed until close we could have certainly gotten most everything done that day, could have tried for additional FP too.

We had dinner at BOG and it was not quick. I wouldn't recommend TS at MK if you are trying to do it all in one day.
