Ok here is the back story. DH and I will be going to Orlando June 7 - 15. DH has been to Orlando once before but just for a night after a cruise. Only place he has ever been is DTD. I have been to all of the Disney parks several times when younger but last time was about 14 years ago.

While we are in Florida we have many things we want to do (spend a day in daytona, blizzard beach, Universal Studios, and MK). We will be spending 6 of our days in orlando. I would really like to only have plans 4 of those days because we would like some down time too. Due to this we are planning to only go to MK 1 day (we are going to go on a Wednesday when the crowds should be at the lowest for that week.

Is it crazy to think that we could do MK in 1 day? We don't have kids so I know that there will be several of the rides that we wont do. Please tell me I am not crazy lol.

You're not going to see it all, even with skipping some rides. BUT, if you have other plans and want to see as much of Orlando as possible, then go for it. If you find you want an extra day, you can always buy another ticket for a day that was supposed to be a "down day."

I'd sit down with your hubby and make a list of all the attractions that you'd like to do, then re-assess.

Well a lot of that depends on what you mean by "Do MK."

What is your minimum to feel like you've covered the park? You won't be able to do absolutely everything. It's just not possible.

Now I can say that I've successfully done MK in one day on both of my last two trips because I did everything that I and my family wanted to do.

But that was in September.

You could certainly have a great time though. I'd probably do rope drop and have a plan of things to do in the first couple of hours then use my FP+ for later in the day to lock in some of the popular rides.

Granted, you won't do everything, but without kids, one day at MK is not unreasonable.

Based on personal experience I think you will be fine. I find for DH and I or just myself, about six hours is all that is needed to do most of the main rides and attractions. If you add in the parades you might need an extra hour per parade to allow time for not only watching them, but also for finding a good viewing area ahead of time and then sitting in said spot until the parades start. When I say we do most of the main rides/attractions these are the ones I mean:

Jungle Cruise
Pirates of the Caribbean
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
It's a Smalll World
Mickey's Philharmagic
Walt Disney Railroad
Carousel of Progress
Tomorrowland Transportation Authority
Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Monsters Laugh Floor
Stitch's Great Escape

You will be fine. Many people only go to MK one day out of their trip. You won't see it all, but you will be able to do many things.

You'll be fine as long as crowds are low as hoped! You can get in the big rides like Splash mountain, Space Mountain, Pirates etc for sure.

Even with 2 kids and a lengthy character lunch, we were able to do everything WE wanted to do at MK in 1 day and even repeat some attractions June of 2012. We got there early and stayed late :).

Let's just say I tried to do 3 parks on a Wednesday during Spring Break so you are not crazy! It would be best if you could get there at park opening and stay the whole day. It will be hot so midday I would plan on some lunch or breaks in air conditioning.

You can get a lot done in the morning

When you get there I would choose your FP for the day

My plan generally is at RD, I take the train back to Adventureland and ride Splash Mountain and Big Thunder twice each
Then I go to Peter Pan, if the Mine Train is open I would make that a priority

I would get an app for your phone to see what the ride times are

The rides that may require FP are
Peter Pan
Splash
Space Mountain
winnie the pooh
mermaid
Buzz Lightyear
Mine Train

Haunted, Small world, Pirates, Philharmagic, Monster's Laugh Floor, Hall of Presidents,
can usually be walk ons depending the time of day

Good Luck!
