I know you could this at one time. I believe there's a carriage of sorts and other similar rides. I hope someone knows what I'm talking about here. TIA

Last summer we had an 8:25 PS for CRT, and were able to enter the park around 8:00(it actually opened at 9:00). While making our way to Main St a CM standing next to an old fashioned fire truck asked us if we were going to the Castle. When we said yes, he told us to hop on. Our kids loved the ride up Main St, epsecially ringing the bell. I think you just need to be at the right place at the right time and keep your eyes open.
Good luck!

Each of the vehicles has a loading zone in the Magic Kingdom town square. The loading zones are marked by signs. For example, the horse drawn carriage loading zone is right in front of the train station. The double decker bus's loading zone is in front of City Hall. Just wait under the sign and you'll be able to board the next vehicle (as long as the vehicle is out (you can scan the street to see what vehicles are out)). The rides are one-way to Cinderella's castle. I always ride the horse drawn carriage - it's tradition!!! However, last time the kids convinced me to ride the double decker bus which was lots of fun too!!

Remember, those vehicles also take guests from Cinderella's Castle to Town Square. I've actually had pretty good luck getting a seat on that "return trip" before noon, then turned around and walked back up Main Street!

I recommend riding in one of the Main St. vehicles. There's nothing like a slow ride toward the Castle with the horses hooves clopping to make you slow down and enjoy the fact that you're really at WDW! :D

They never seem to be running on our trips there. We go in June, do they not run during more crowded seasons?

After opening the park last Oct....we were starting to walk up by the City Hall and the Fire truck driver asked us if we wanted to ride....It was sooo much fun....definately a leisure start to a hecktic day...

The very last thing we did before we left the park on our last day was ride in the horse drawn carriage up and back. Officially you are not supposed to have round trips but we were the only ones on and the CM told us that as long as we actually got off and there were no others waiting we could jump right back on. So we did. The CM was GREAT my 3 y/o DD sat next to him and he talked to her about the horse . She still talks about Johnny the horse.

I believe that they typically run only in the mornings. I know that they are gone once preparations begin for the afternoon parade. I know that I have never been to Magic Kingdom during a morning (we usually get there within an hour of the opening) and not ridden a vehicle to Cinderella's Castle.
