MK Fireworks viewing on july 3rd outside of the park...

My DD and her SO are going to beat the rest of the family to WDW for mine and my DW's birthday celebrations. They're coming in July 3rd, and they would like to see the special July 3rd/July 4th but they may not want to go into the park. (They do have passes, if they really want to be brave).... My DW and I have watched the MK fireworks from the Poly -is there still an area to watch the MK fireworks from there, and any idea if the Poly will restrict viewing to Poly guests only? I know that theres also the concourse balcony on the north end of the Contemporary's A-frame building...any other thoughts?

Those are probably the two best locations, however reports that the Polynesian may be restricting the beach due to all the construction going on. Wilderness Lodge is decent, and Grand Floridian on their dock is good. I would op for the Contemporary.

I went to check out spots a couple of weeks ago. We typically go to the Poly on the 3rd or 4th but even if they are not restricting access this year I WOULD NOT go there. The views are so limited with the construction and I found it very distracting.
