MK fireworks: seeing double?

I'm staying at an off site resort and have a view of the fireworks. At 11:45 we saw the Magic Kingdom NYE Eve fireworks, but we were seeing two of everything, one on either side of the castle. Has anyone else seen this before? Does anyone know why they do this?

The smaller fireworks are fired from by the castle and the big mortars are fired from behind MK. If that's what you're referring to

Are you asking how the fireworks are symmetrical? If so, it's just how the tubes are set up.

Are you referring to the "Mirror Fireworks" from the island in Seven Seas Lagoon?

The "Mirror Fireworks" are only done for the 4th of July and NYE shows.

They're really cool.

Yes that must be it! We thought we were seeing double! It was very cool. I'll try to get video/photos tonight.

May I ask where you are staying? We were there for the early show and they did doubles. It was great. My kids couldnt last until the true nye fireworks though.

So the new show "Holiday Wishes-New Year's Celebration"(6:30 PM show)had the "Mirror Fireworks" or was it just the "Perimeter Fireworks" that you saw?Thanks.

They do perimeter fireworks on the major days. They usually do a rehearsal of the NYC show at the last MK fireworks on 12/30.

The "perimeters" are different than the "mirrors".

I'm wondering if the new 6:30 PM show,"Holiday Wishes-New year's Celebration"(debuted last night) had the "mirrors" in addition to the "perimeters".

Was there last night and can confirm the fireworks started out with the mirror fireworks and then for the finally the perimiter ones were set off. We were in the middle of main street and had fireworks going off 360 degrees around us.

These were the 11:45 fireworks.

We saw the great fireworks from the top of BLT. In previous years we have seen them from inside the park as well as from a boat! This year we stayed at BLT specifically to see them from high up!

The 6:30-Holiday Wishes with New Years Celebration was Holiday Wishes and then the last part of the New Years celebration - Mickey and the gang counting down to midnight and then fireworks. Those fireworks were 180 degree perimeter fireworks.

The 11:50-New Years Celebration had mirror fireworks entire time (I believe - I just glanced behind me throughout the show) and then Mickey and the gang counting down to midnight with fireworks that were 360 degree perimeter fireworks.

I'm staying at Parc Soleil, a Hilton property. We were in the park for the early fireworks and the we're not the same ones we saw from our balcony later. The ones we saw were the NYE fireworks that they do on the 30th and 31st. I'm watching the Wishes fireworks from the balcony now and they are not mirrored like the midnight show.

For the 4th of July and NYE shows only,Disney fires the exact same fireworks sequence that is fired behind Cinderella Castle from one of the islands in Seven Seas Lagoon.

I watched an online video of a mirrored and the Seven Seas Lagoon ones looked very similar but less than the castle ones.

They are the same, not less. I can't figure out how to post a photo, but from a distance it is like watching the same show doubled.

The ones on the left are very similar, but seem less in many of the displays.

Maybe just the viewing angle?

Silly question do fireworks happen every night? or only on holidays? I presume they are bigger on some nights as well?
