it has been a few years and A LOT of changes since I have been to Disney. We are going next year on this week. I am getting back into the swing of planning and could use help understanding what to expect.

We are staying offsite.

Our plan: At 180 day mark, get earliest BBB reservation possible for dd. (Hopefully at 8am).

MK is a EMM day. Enter park around 7:15ish with EMM guests. Take pictures and enjoy Main Street. Arrive for reservation. Assuming it will take 20-30min.

Fantasyland is open, but only EMM guests can ride the rides until 8:45am.

My understanding is the regular guests are on other side of castle watching show at 8:45am.

We get out of BBB and get a jump on regular guests by being at SDMT at 8:45am. <5 min wait, and no FP needed for it.

Does this sound right? Any thoughts or suggestions?

Can anyone paint a picture of what this will be like(within reason) with the existence of EMM, a BBB res, and the main crowd on other side of castle?

Thank u for help :)

Are you talking about Extra Magic Hours (for hotel guests) or Early Morning Magic (paid ticket event)? Either way, if you are not going until July 2018, it is hard to predict if either of those will be happening on the day you are going.

I can't comment too much on BBB as I have no experience, but 20 mins sounds way too short. What I have read, you should allot at least 30-45 mins but maybe someone else can chime in on that.

I think you will be rushing a lot and missing out on the experience if you hope to be finished BBB by 8:45 purely to enjoy a ride. BBB is an experience from start to finish and we've found it takes us at least an hour.

There is the potential for a line at the reception desk, time in the change room, time with Fairy Godmother in Training and then you'll probably want to stop for a few pictures afterwards.

If you want to do BBB, I'm not sure I would use it as my reason for entering MK early. Possibly an breakfast at Be Our Guest might offer you the opportunity you're looking for in riding Seven Dwarfs before some of the crowds arrive.

We did EMM in May. We, along with PPO dining guests, were not permitted to enter the park until 7:45.

Also, EMM dates haven't been released for next year yet, so there's no way to know for sure if your MK day will have EMM or not.

I can confirm that no other guests were allowed to board the EMM rides until promptly at 9. Those rides were held for EMM guests until the minute the park opened.

Thank you for the comments. We are doing BBB regardless of anything else. 20 min is prob too short. However the website said to allow for 30-60 min and we are only getting the basic package. Daughter will already have her (prob Moana) dress. I assumed 30, and in the past have seen families who got starts right at 8 were done before park opening.

I was referring to early morning magic, not emh.

I know that a year is far out to know exactly. I am just trying to start to have a grasp of what it might be like. Last time I went, normal crowds were kept at train station. Now they come to front of castle.

Rather there is EMM or not, what is the experience on the other side of the castle?

Also, the part of the equation I didn't mentioned before is the 2 older brothers of the princess who will be just waiting and if BBB takes too long, would love to jump on SDMT.
