MK Dessert Party?

We did it on our most recent trip in November. I think it was a wonderful one time experience, but I would never pay for it again. For starters, there weren't that many dessert options. Maybe 10? I don't drink alcohol, so the "free" beer/wine isn't a perk. Overall I don't regret doing it at all, but it was definitely a one and done for us. I'd sit somewhere else with a dessert of my choosing next time haha.
This is exactly my feeling.

The desserts are super-low-quality, mostly-pudding-based desserts, with I think a cookie and chocolate-covered strawberry thrown in. Definitely not worth the cost.

Whether or not the price is worth the reserved viewing area, if you ignore the desserts, is debatable as well. I agree that it's worth it, for the viewing area only, as a one-time experience. But I won't pay for the dessert party again.
The crepes were good (topped with candied walnuts. They just made that change a few weeks before our trip, so they might add new things before your trip:

Thanks for that. These were definitely not available in winter 2021. Maybe they are starting to add a little variety. That might be a start towards making the dessert party worth it...

I found this review helpful as well. People will put their kids up on their shoulders at the last minute but there was plenty of room to move away if that happens-if you’re not recording (I had my camera up and a dad put a kid with a glow stick on his shoulders several minutes into the fireworks so I couldn’t move; some of my videos have a glow stick being waved In my view)

a $411 price tag tag for 4 people is a lot to swallow for desserts

Yep, epecially when you get dine at a signature and watch the fireworks from the Cali Grill for about the same price. And that's exactly what my family would prefer...spend the money on a great meal somewhere and if we wanted the fireworks in the park, we just watch from the hub for free.

But the view is nice, with less stress and hassle, and ultimately that's what you are paying for.

The view is nice but you don’t see any of the projections. Without then projections the show is like any other fireworks show

The view looking back at Main Street from near the poles at the furthest of the party (obstructed view looking forward, but plenty of room to move)

It’s really hard to rebook if you cancel. I would look at enchantment videos to gauge crowds a week before and also look at the more recent dessert party videos. You need to cancel 5 days before. There was a review that there was some fighting in the hub. That sealed the deal for me.

We did the after party and rode rides until 30 mins before fireworks and about 20 mins after fireworks (people mover; buzz went down), before we headed to the party. Ate and drank very little. Kids ate one or two bites from the allergy friendly plate (too sweet).

What was available for allergies? Was it tailored to your allergies? Or Top 8? Thx

It was their standard allergy plate (you have to fill a special diets form ahead of time): Erin McKenna cake slices, mini brownie cupcakes, cookies, fruit, gummies, raspberry sorbet. They added or removed chocolate covered strawberries and cheese for dairy (see video below).

For our DD who can have dairy but is allergic to peanuts, treenuts, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds we asked one of the CMs to speak with the chef so she can have something from the buffet. Surprisingly they said the chocolate silk pie and the chocolate pudding were not safe (they have a hazelnut layer). Obviously the crepes are topped with walnuts. She had a chocolate covered strawberry and cake pops (we had booked dinner at Steakhouse71 at 5 pm-took 2 hours; Steakhouse71 does carry Tofutti vanilla ice cream). There is no ice cream at the dessert party (should be).
