We're still in the beginning of the planning for our Wishes wedding. It's too bad we can't start the process with Disney until 12 months out - we have so many questions! I'm so happy to have this forum!! :)
We were planning on booking a MK Bridal shoot for our wedding in October 2013 and I remember seeing somewhere (can't find it now) that Disney were installing the Christmas lights around that time. I just want to make sure that if we book then, that we won't have the crane in the background - that would certainly ruin the pictures!
Has anyone had a MK Bridal shoot in October (mid-month)? Was the crane up? Or did they remove it for the photo session?
Pictures would be great!!

Thanks!!

ahhhhhhh - your comment about moving the crane kinda made me LOL!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

no, they won’t move things. they can get many shots from many angles so either they wouldn’t book shoots (or would cancel shoots) if there were a major issue (i would guess) blocking someone from getting at least one castle long shot, but that said, they don’t guarantee certain pics so there would be alot you could get pic of even with a crane!

we got married in january. because of a variety of issues, we had our photo session later in the morning than usual and i really wanted a picture of us, “alone”, on main street. that wasn’t possible because at 7 o’clock people are coming into the park to eat breakfast at the castle!

i’m sure others will chime in, but you might poke around on here and see that issues with MK shoots pop up from time to time around such things as cranes, construction, changing park hours and the like.

but it sure was cool to do! good luck planning!:thumbsup2

No need to worry about the crane, it was edited out of any of our pictures that it might have been in during our MK shoot, including ones where you can see the crane up from inside the wedding pavilion on that day....you can see it in our guest pictures but not our professional Disney ones! :)

This is wonderful news. We were also wondering about the crane. Our VR is October 26th and the light overlay was one of my biggest worries.
