MK Bridal Portraits in November

DF and I are going to have to change our date to November (no year yet), and I was wondering what the lighting was like for MK portrait sessions.

I have heard November dates can fill up fast because there are fewer (due to decorating for Christmas). Has anyone dealt with this?

If any of you ladies have done the portraits in November, please post pics or tell me about your experience. Thank you!

I've heard that they are all booked now as it is, but I could be wrong. When I booked mine at the one year mark, I couldn't even get the morning of 11/11/11 so I had to get the 12th. The castle will have the twinkle lights on it and I'm hoping to get there before they go off but if not, I don't care. I'm happy just to be there! So I can report back in 7 months.

We've settled on November 7, 2013. I hope I can book my shoot at the 12 month mark when I can confirm my date. I also hope they keep the two couples in the park in different places idea. It would make it much better for booking!

You should be able to book at the year mark if you're a wishes wedding, that's what we did. I called early that morning and by noon I had my appointment set. It never hurts to email them ahead of time just to double check when you can book since you're date is a busy season for them (that's how I found out when I could call). And if all else fails just call right at 8:30am when they open on your one year mark!!

Our wedding was November 10, 2008 and our MK shoot was the next day. Our shoot was at 6:30am. It was still dark when we arrived at the MK (very cool coming in the back way). We wanted some pictures on Main Street - the street was been cleaned and there were rehearsals going on for something (can't remember at the moment). We were able to get a few photos on Main Street.

The twinkle lights were on (I think we were only one of the few couples where the twinkle lights were on). That night was the first MVMCP of the year and I think they were testing them.

It was dark for most of our photos and it was just starting to get light toward the end.
