What information, hints, tips, recommendations, good news, bad news, etc. can you give me on the behind the scenes tours given at the MK.

Which tours are good which are not worth it?

Do you need PS or reservations? How do you get it?

Any suggestions or comments are welcome

DH and his friend took the "Magic of our steam trains" tour this past December and really loved it. The tour ran probably 1 to 1 1/2 hours beyond the time it was supposed to because the guide kept answering questions as long as the group wanted to stay.

We've taken the day long tour before which spends part of the time in MK, and that is well worth it if you want to take a whole day out of your agenda and spend the approximately $200 it costs for the tour.

Never taken anything else that involved MK, only a couple at EPCOT.

Any time we've taken a Disney behind the scenes tour we've been very happy with it. ::MinnieMo

We've taken the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, and it is fantastic. You go many places that regular park goers never see, including the underground utilidors and the backstage areas where the parade floats are stored. The guides are very good, and share many stories and much trivia. I highly recommend it!!

I recommend the Keys to the Kingdom tour also!! I went on it on my honeymoon back in Janaury 2004 and am going again this June with my family. It's great to look at Magic Kingdom from a totally different perspective, and really see how much thought went into it's planning. It costs $58 (discounted with AP or AAA) and includes lunch at Columbia Harbor House. You also get a pin that is shaped like a key. Fantastic tour!

I also went on the Hidden Treasures of the World Showcase tour. It was very good too, but wasn't great, at least not in comparison to Keys to the Kingdom.

Another strong endorsement for the Keys to the Kingdom Tour here! We took the tour in December and I would definately say it was the highlight of our trip. Our guide, Steve, was great and we had a lot of fun. It definately gives you a strong respect for how much work goes into making the Magic Kingdom operate on a day-to-day basis. I have been to the MK many times and it was a great way to see it with a fresh perspective. It was impressive how our guide pointed out things that the average visitor would never notice...Can you tell that I liked the KTTK tour?

I would strongly reccomend it, well worth the $$.

Should you make a reservation for the tours and if so, how. Do you call the same phone number that you make PS's thru.

Check the link I posted earlier. That has all the booking info on it.
