* we had my dds haircut there.

Took DGD, 18 mos at the time, last Sept. for first haircut. They cut her hair, let us take all the pictures we wanted, had bubble blowing-type toys to occupy her, and then they pixie dusted her hair and gave her a pair of pink Mickey Ears with "First Haircut" written on the back. They also took the first snip and placed it into a little bag for us to keep for her scrap book. Very pleased with this. I believe it cost about $14 or $15 for the whole thing. Not bad considering the cost of Mickey Ears and printing! It was well worth it and what a memorable moment for her mom, dad and I (Memere/grandma)! I cried like a baby! Hope this helps. Have a magical day.

Thanks, it does help:) . My DD turned 2 in July and never had her haircut and I've been wanting to get her some bangs cut so it stays out of her eyes!!!

They better b.c DH and I have been very excited to get DD's 1st haircut there!

I'm planning on my little girl getting her first haircut there (unless she's like her Daddy and bald 'til she's 3!) and when I was on the College Program my roomies and I always got our haircut there... with our discount it was actually cheaper than going anywhere else and WAY more fun! So to actually answer your question... yes, ANYONE can go there and get their haircut!

Ooh! I'm really glad I found this thread - I've been waiting to have my little girl's first haircut when we go in October.

She will be 19 months and starting to resemble a Shetland pony on the fringe!

Do you have to pre-book or just go on the day? What's the wait like?

Also, I assume they are very used to handling wriggly children? My DD has not been known to sit still for more than about 20 seconds:goodvibes

Thanks

Laura

They are experts with wiggly kids. They put Mickey stickers on them to look at and bubbles to blow, etc. I would get there at rope drop and head right over as it is first come, first serve. They are also a great alternative to BBB. My 3 girls got a simple bun with colored gel and pixie dust for only $7.50 each in December and I thought they looked better than BBB. We got complements all day.

My dd has been asking about BBB too, but I just cannot justify the $50 for a bun and glitter. Last year, when she was 3 I bought the same tiara at Epcot for $10 and made a bun everyday for her and stuck the tiara in with some glitter. Everyone thought she went to BBB and she got lots of compliments. This year we are going again and she is asking again about BBB. She REALLY wants to go. I started dropping hints about this cool place that does colored gel and pixie dust and cool stuff to your hair. She likes that idea. I think I can convince her to do that instead. $7.50 sounds great. Heck, she doesn't even know we are going to Disney yet...we are surprising her. She just asks about WDW everyday since we went last year. She is going to be SO excited just to be there that I'm sure whatever she gets done to her hair will just be icing on the cake. :lovestruc

Took our middle DD at 23 mos for her 1st haircut and it was great! I think we just went up and had to wait maybe 20 min or so (May 05)

They don't take appointments and they do get busy. It took us a few tries before the line had died down enough to go.

I had booked BBB for my DD's 3rd birthday while we're there in Sept. I was having 2nd thoughts about it so I posted a thread about first haircut at Harmony Barber. The main thing everyone said was to get there early. Our plan is to go to Crystal Palace for an 8am breakfast and then head over to the barber shop. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long. It looks really cure. Can't wait!
