MK at 1 pm and no FPs

If you are going for fun/variety, you could take the monorail to MK (it’s faster to walk)
Even slower, take the train to Poly, then take their little boat on a nice little cruise to MK.
In addition to the great list, There’s also the railroad for it’s grand circle tour of MK
(but you don’t want to be on the railroad during the parade because the trains stop to allow the parade to enter, wait, then exit as it crosses the tracks)

Question for those of you who usually start your FPs in the afternoon! We will be flying end of August and arriving at MK around 1pm but our first FP isn't until 4pm. Is it worth going into MK and hoping we can find something to see/do without having to wait 60-90 mins? Or should we hang at our hotel (Contemporary) until right before the first FP. Are there certain attractions/rides with shorter wait times we should try and hit up before our first FP? Thank you!

How many people total? I would say more then likely you will be able to move up those fast passes closer to 1 as you get closer.

Thank you for all your input! I hadn't even thought about checking the wait times on the app. This will be our only day at MK (although we have been to MK once before 2 years ago). Unfortunately, we can't move our FPs up because we have them planned with a group that won't get to MK until 4ish.

The OP could try the Pirates Adventure to possibly score a FP+ for POtC after completing 2 or 3 maps. It’s a fun thing to explore, but I’d concentrate on the earlier lost 1st

Spend all the time in magic kingdom!!!! It's so magical there ❤ if it was me, I'd unpack, get my bearings at my resort, and then grab an ice cream and people watch on main street before hitting the rides!
