It seems from my past experience that Sundays and the MK were to be avoided.

But my kids want to go to MK on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It is an early entry park that day, but my better judgement tells me to stay away.

I know the crowds start to diminish on Sunday, but how bad do you think MK will really be on this day?

Bump.

We will be there, too. I was thinking maybe it wouldn't be too crowded as MVMCP is starting that evening. The MK closes at 6pm. Families going to the Xmas party may stay away and/or rest up for the late night.

We will probably go in the morning and leave in the afternoon for a rest before we do the party.

Don't know if what I am thinking is correct.... just hoping!:)

Thanks for any info!

We will be there, however, we'll only be doing the first hour in Fantasyland, then a quick breakfast at the bakery on our way to do the Family Magic Tour! After that, we're hitting a quick lunch at Columbia Harbor House, then HM (hopefully), then back to resort to nap/rest for MVMCP that night! :bounce:

It depends what other days you have to choose from. The Thurs-Sat. of that week will be much worse. Sunday will be a little better because it will be a travel day for many people. But Sunday is also EE at MK, and many will take advantage of that before heading home.

If anything, I would go to MK for EE, then leave after a few hours. I'm assuming you're staying onsite. If you're not, avoid MK like the plague.

I'll be there too that day. We always do EE days and stay at that park. Ive never thought it was that bad, but I think this year is going to be busy than most. Just seems that way.

Have a good trip!!

We too are planning our 1st day at MK on that Sunday. I was hoping it would be a travel day for most and also people would stay away from MK for the MVMCP. But the EE does have me a bit worried. We will just make the best of it and know that we will be back later in the week if we don't get much done. It just isn't right to not start our vacation in the MK.

Actually - we are arriving on Thanksgiving day. The horrible mother that I am is scheduling "non-park" activities through Saturday. Sunday will be our first park day. We return home Wed afternoon. So we will have other times to do MK (and am planning to do the MVMCP on Nov 30th)

I just think we'd be better off going somewhere OTHER THAN MK on that first park day (Sunday) - and wanted others opinions on it.

See ya then!!
