Mk after hours or Villains after hours?

Hi,

In the week I am going, both Villains and regular after hours are offered.

I am leaning towards Villains. Are there cool meet and greets or is it all about the rides?

What is different between both? It would only be me and my 12 yrd old.

No character meets at VAH. There are 2 ride overlays, sinister music, lighting, a stage show, the Maleficent dragon, villain treats, villain Magic Shots, and of course villains merch.

My opinion on which to attend, depends on you personally. If you love villains, and/or want to see the experience the Magic Kingdom in a unique way, I would do VAH. If rides exclusively are your heart's desire, and you don't care about much else, I would attend a regular Magic Kingdom AH.

My reasoning is that regular AH is cheaper, so why pay more for VAH if you don't care about the villains.

It has been suggested that VAH has longer wait times than regular Magic Kingdom AH. I've been to both versions twice, and I've found wait times to be overwhelmingly similar.

How long are the wait times for the rides compared to say mvmcp

For the most popular rides, it probably averages 20 minutes. During VAH, we waited 25 minutes for Space Mountain, but we also waited 5 minutes for Space Mountain a little while later.

Similarly, we waited 20-25 minutes to ride Space Mountain during a regular MK AH.

Honestly, the best overall wait times I've ever had for Space Mountain was during MVMCP. We rode it 3 times in less than half an hour.
