MK 4th of July Fireworks… are there projections on the castle?

We are trying to decide on whether or not to keep our Sweets and Seats reservation for the July 4th (technically 7/3) at MK.

The biggest downside from reviews is the offset angle of the viewing area that precludes us from seeing the front of the castle. Will that even matter? Will there be anything so important on the castle that we would want to see the fireworks from a more central area?

What do you all think?

Happily Every After has a lot of projections on the castle. Not sure how much may be added for July 3/4 but normally, the projections add a lot to this show.

They don’t do Happily Ever After on the 3rd & 4th. It’s Celebration In The Sky which is a completely different show.

I’m in the same boat, debating whether the 3rd of July fireworks party is worth keeping (garden viewing). Anyone experience it in the past?

Personally, I’d keep it but that’s just me. I’ve done MK on the 4th the last 15+ years and know firsthand how crazy busy it gets during the fireworks. People start sitting down and staking out their spots in the hub as early as 6:00pm and it ends up being shoulder to shoulder with everyone crammed in on top each other by the time the fireworks roll around. At least with the garden view you’ll have a bit more breathing room and a guaranteed reserved spot to view from and you can see the 360 fireworks behind you.

Thank you. I wasn't aware that it was a completely different show. I thought in the past it was a regular fireworks display with a 4th of July tag added to the end but guess that's not right.

They just add the Independence Day tag onto the regular fireworks at Epcot on the 4th. At MK its always been its own separate Independence Day themed show on the 3rd & 4th with the Stars and Stripes being the only projection on the castle 🙂 That’s why a lot of people end up doing MK on the 3rd and Epcot on the 4th to see both.
