I just checked the PowerBall website and they haven't posted my winning numbers yet. I'm about ready to go to bed, so I'll check again in the morning.

You know how we were talking musicals yesterday? I have another musical that I love - "Rent". I've been listening to the soundtrack as I've been working on my Trip Report. I also listened to Nirvana's "Nevermind" album for the first time in about 10 years. So I'm mentally alternating between "La Vie Boheme", "Another Day", "Come As You Are", "Lithium", and "Territorial Pissings".

I haven't seen "Wicked" yet, but I've read both of Maguire's books and I love the general story (the twists from "Wizard of Oz" are really cool). Maybe sometime soon a traveling version will come out to the hinterlands of wild & wooly Tennessee and then I can see it. Or maybe I'll head up to Broadway sometime and catch it there in its original setting...

Some more news (of sorts) - Smashing Pumpkins has reunited and has announced concert dates. I was a big Pumpkinhead since the days of their "Gish" album in '91. My architectural thesis project was designed almost exclusively to these albums - Pearl Jam "Ten", Nirvana "Nevermind", Smashing Pumpkins "Siamese Dream", and Metallica's Black Album ('92 and '93). So they have announced two Pumpkins venues - one West Coast and one East Coast. West Coast is San Francisco - yeah, I could see that. The East Coast venue? New York? Chicago (which is where they're from)? Nope. Asheville, NC. Huh? A club called the Orange Peel. I may see if I can score tickets. I've always wanted to see them live. Part of me is nervous that I'd be the oldest guy in the place. The other part of me is nervous that I'd only be one in the middle of the sea of middle-aged guys in the place. Probably the second option is more likely.

Captain Jack does arrive for a sneak preview on May 24 in most CITIES. I've got my name in for the drawing to attend the one here in KC but I'm not holding my breath.
